We hired Driver in Rome for three transports (from FCO to our hotel in the City Centre, from our hotel to the cruise port, and from the cruise port to FCO). Each driver was prompt and helpful. We had a group of six people and they can accommodate that size of group very easily. They were so reliable. I cannot imagine that there is a better transport company in Rome. They also do shore excursions which I will do a separate review on.
It's important to us to satisfy every request to make your holiday an unforgettable memory. Thank you
We had a great day with Driver in Rome for a trip from the cruise port in Livorno to Florence and Lucca. The company was great to work with and responded promptly to emails. Our driver, Diego, picked our group up in a Mercedes van for 8 passengers. It took about 1 ½ hours to get to Florence. Diego gave commentary along the way. Our first stop was Michelangelo Square where we were able to take wonderful photographs overlooking the city of Florence. Diego very carefully explained our route and made certain that everyone knew where to meet. We were dropped off near the famous Ponte Vecchio. We walked across the bridge and then the various members of our group went their own way to sightsee. We chose to go to the Bargello Museum. It was great that Diego gave us a meeting point that did not require us to backtrack to the starting point. This gave us all more time to see Florence. His suggestion to eat lunch at the market turned out to be an excellent one! After lunch, we all met for the 1-hour drive to Lucca. Lucca was far less crowded than Florence and it was great to see the park-like top of the city wall as well as the stone tunnels underneath the walls. The magnolia trees were in bloom. Diego was very helpful in pointing out sights to visit in Lucca. We had time for tea and pastries before we headed back to the ship.
