Then come along on this private, half-day, non-rushed trip to the wine-growing areas of Torres Vedras or Alenquer and enjoy a memorable outdoor experience on a visit to a leading or family-owned winery, with tastings of up to 5 wines, local delicacies and a pleasant 4x4 guided tour through the vineyards. Itinerary
Depart from anywhere in the Greater Lisbon area on this leisurely journey. The idea is not to rush. We won't visit crowded places or queue to see anything. We'll just stroll and enjoy the countryside, always accompanied by the breeze of the Atlantic and beautiful vineyard landscapes. Depending on wineries' availability, we'll either visit the Torres Vedras or Alenquer wine regions. It will always be a short trip, as either wine region is about an hour's drive from Lisbon.
The trip from Lisbon is quick and smooth, and most of the time will be spent in the wineries rather than on the road. In addition to visiting a family-owned winery and cellar and tasting high-quality wines, you will also have the opportunity to explore the vineyards in a 4x4 vehicle. Don't worry, the ride isn't too bumpy, and it's a lot of fun. Whatever the season, a vineyard landscape is always beautiful and inviting for taking photos. By the way... the experience can become truly special, as this guided 4x4 tour through the vineyards is often led by the winemaker himself or occasionally by a member of the family that owns the estate.
(Optional) Suddenly it will be time to head back to Lisbon, but if we're available and if you want to have lunch locally (we know some extraordinary local restaurants and if you like, you can even opt for a restaurant where you can try a special menu with wine pairing) or continue discovering the region until the end of the day, just talk to us... we know some incredible sites in the region that go beyond the pin on the map and that we'd love to show you.
Back to the Lisbon area. A short trip of about an hour. The journey takes between 5 and 7 hours, depending on the time you spent on visits and whether you decide to have lunch on site. As a matter of transparency, we would like to inform you that in addition to the time of 3 hours given to the attractions listed in the itinerary, the remaining 2 to 4 hours announced refer to: 2 hours for the total travel time, and the other 2 hours for the total time of the moments listed as optional. By the way, we'd like you to know that by choosing us you're choosing a free trip for children under 11, plus a reduced trip ticket for young under 17 and a 100% sustainable car trip, as all GHG emissions generated are fully offset.

- It is mandatory to book 1 seat per child, regardless of age and even if it is mentioned that it is free.
- Not recommended for small children unused to travelling by car (up to 1H between stops, up to 7H for the day).
- All the highlights of this tour are easily accessible. However, there may be some attractions with more limited accessibility.

- The remaining hours are travel time and eventually optional visits/lunch.
- All the walks are relatively short and of easy-to-moderate physical demand. Participants do not need to have a high level of physical fitness.

- Please be aware that in Portugal the legal drinking age is over 18. Also be aware that all the wines included in the program are served on a tasting basis and therefore the quantity is limited. In addition, during the tour, the Tour Operator or the Winery may refuse to serve wines, whether or not included in the program, to anyone who behaves inappropriately due to alcohol consumption.
- Please note that although the tour can be done in one of the 4 languages available, the visits and wine tastings at the wineries will be done in English or Portuguese. Also note that although the tour is private, the visits and tastings at the wineries can occasionally be done in groups with other visitors. However, if this happens, we will ensure that it is done in a very small group.
- Please also note that if any participant decides not to take part in the activities included at the wineries, either in the visit or in the tasting, they will not be entitled to any refund.
- Primarily, but not guaranteed, this tour takes place in a Volvo SUV or a Mercedes-Benz C-Class sedan.
- For reasons beyond the control of the Tour Operator, it reserves the right to alter or cancel any service without prior notice due to the impossibility of carrying it out. It further informs that in the event of impossibility of access, by road or on foot, to any site or impossibility of visit to any attraction listed in the itinerary, the customer will not be entitled to any refund.
- By booking this Activity: you acknowledge that photographs and videos may be taken during the Activity; you consent that these may be published by the Tour Operator, either online or offline; and you agree to waive any rights of ownership or earnings at any time over these records. If you do not accept this, simply inform the Tour Guide on arrival at the start of the Activity.

Marco took our family to a winery outside of Lisbon. It was a great experience seeing a generational owned successful business. It was special when the grandparents, arrived as our tour began giving us a true perspective of family commitment to success. We toured the main facility and then had the opportunity of climbing into jeeps for a ride through the vineyards. We tasted wines throughout the tour, getting both a visual and a flavor filled understanding of the wine industry.
