Halil is very knowledgeable about the area and gives great historical context. He is also very patient and personable, eager to answer any questions. It was a great experience.
Excellent guide, a very complete tour of the Taksim area, with access to places few know and sharing in a very pleasant way the history you know of the city.
Very informative and interesting tour and we had such a lovely guide. The Bluetooth audio headphones worked flawlessly. Highly recommended!
Halil was a wonderful guide, weaving the area’s history and sites together in an enjoyable way. He took us to unique places and had several surprise stops that were terrific! Answering questions, pointing out places to eat or get the best prices, Halil was great. And having a headset allowed us to hear him even amidst the busy streets. We thoroughly enjoyed our time with him today.
Incredible and so worth it. I took this tour on my first day to get my bearings and learn a bit of history, and our guide not only studied history but is doing his PhD in it. He happily answered many questions and also added some marvellous surprises to his tour - including secret beautiful viewpoints of the city (free). I would recommend to anyone looking for a great walking tour. I wasn’t so sure about the headsets at first, but they turned out to be really nice to always hear clearly even in loud areas or in churches when he spoke quietly. Halil is the best
