Itinerary
Castel Sant'Angelo is one of the most iconic fortresses in Rome, built as a mausoleum of Emperor Hadrian and then transformed into a papal residence. It dominates the Tiber with its imposing circular silhouette connected to the Vatican by the famous Passetto.
St. Peter's Basilica, located in Vatican City, is the heart of the Catholic Church and a masterpiece of Renaissance architecture. The basilica and its surrounding Vatican Museums are rich in religious and artistic treasures. Visitors can admire the grandeur of this sacred site.
One of the most spectacular viewpoints in Rome, with breathtaking views of the city. The Gianicolo is also a place of great historical value, the scene of the battles led by Giuseppe Garibaldi during the Unification of Italy. A tradition that has lasted since 1847 takes place here: every day at noon a cannon fire marks the exact time for the whole city.
In the heart of Trastevere, the Peroni Store celebrates the historic Italian beer born in 1846. A space where tradition and design meet, perfect for a short break between Shopping and the story of a brand symbol of Made in Italy.
(OPTIONAL) The Aventine Keyhole is one of Rome's most fascinating secrets: from the keyhole of the Knights of Malta's gate you can glimpse the perfectly framed dome of St. Peter. A magical and amazing view.
The Mouth of Truth is one of the most famous legends of Rome, carved in the marble of the church of Santa Maria in Cosmedin. Made famous by the film "Roman Holiday", it continues to fascinate visitors from all over the world.
The most iconic monument in Rome and one of the most extraordinary architectural wonders of the ancient world. Built in the first century AD.C., the Colosseum was the largest amphitheater in the Roman Empire, capable of hosting over 50,000 spectators for gladiator fights, animal hunts and public performances. Despite the damage suffered over the centuries, it remains an eternal symbol of the grandeur of Rome.
One of the most important crossroads in Rome, dominated by the imposing Monument to Vittorio Emanuele II, also known as the ‘Altar of the Fatherland’, dedicated to the first king of Italy. The square also houses Palazzo Venezia, papal residence and, later, Mussolini's headquarters during the Second World War. A point that connects modern Rome with the heart of the ancient city.
The Trevi Fountain is one of the most famous fountains in the world and a masterpiece of Baroque. Designed by Nicola Salvi in the 18th century, it depicts the god Ocean on a shell-shaped cart, pulled by sea horses. According to tradition, throwing a coin into the fountain with his right hand over his left shoulder, ensures his return to Rome. Every day, thousands of visitors participate in this ritual, contributing to the city's charitable works.
One of the most beautiful and lively squares in Rome, built on the ancient Stadium of Domitian. It is famous for its three fountains, including the Fountain of the Four Rivers by Gian Lorenzo Bernini, which represents the four great rivers known in the seventeenth century. Circus DAta with its baroque palaces and cafes, is a perfect place to immerse yourself in the Roman atmosphere.
The Spanish Steps is one of the most elegant symbols of Rome, seen from the top of Pincio in a unique perspective. From here the view opens onto one of the most suggestive panoramic views of the city.
The Circus Maximus was the largest chariot racing arena in ancient Rome, seating up to 250,000 spectators. Today a vast green valley that evokes the spectacle and passion of the original Ben Hur.

Matt Andy and Massimo were the best ever wow amazing 10/10 five stars
We really wanted to love the sidecar tour, but sadly we chose to end it after 1 hour (it was supposed to be a 3 hour tour). My boyfriend and I took turns riding on the back of the motorcycle, it is super scary and stressful, your butt is all the way at the back of the seat (and I am a small person) and you feel like you're going to fall off at any moment because there's only a tiny metal bar to hold on to behind you, the roads are bumpy and the driving is quite fast at times. I suppose you could to hug the driver to hang on better, lol, but we did not care to do that. Also your legs have to be spread so wide that you basically get off the bike each time with your whole body in pain. I should note that we are both familiar with riding as a passenger on a scooter, so it was not our first time or anything. The sidecar experience was not ideal either. We are generally not people to complain about anything but this was just an awful experience. Also, the driver spoke zero English so it was basically just transportation from place to place with zero commentary or explanation of anything we were seeing. We hated ending it early because it was so expensive (240 euros) but we literally hated every minute of it. We thought that the golf cart tour looked much more relaxed and enjoyable and wished we had done that instead but we wanted to try something unique.
Dear Guest, Thank you for your feedback. We are sorry to learn that the Vespa Sidecar experience did not match your personal expectations. However, much of your review relates to subjective perceptions of comfort and riding style rather than any operational issue with the tour itself. The seating configuration of a Vespa and sidecar is an inherent characteristic of the vehicle and is precisely what distinguishes this experience from alternative options such as golf cart tours. We also note that the tour was voluntarily terminated after approximately one hour at your own request. As a result, the experience described reflects only a portion of the advertised itinerary. Statements such as "super scary," "awful experience," and "hated every minute of it" are clearly personal opinions rather than objective facts. While we respect your preferences, many guests specifically choose the sidecar experience because of its unique and immersive nature. Kind regards, Luxurbe Team
Exploring Rome with Manuel was an amazing experience from start to finish. He was incredibly kind and attentive to both me and my mom, always making sure we felt safe and comfortable. He took the time to thoroughly explain each site we visited, which made everything more meaningful and memorable. The Vespa sidecar experience was absolutely incredible—easily one of the most fun things we did in Rome. It was such a unique and exciting way to see the city. I highly recommend this Viator tour to anyone visiting Rome!
We have just done a beautiful sidecar ride accompanied by Massimo. That was great. It has been very attentive and after the walk we can say that the city of Rome we like much more. Mille grazie, Massimo!
Aaaaaahmazing!!! Absolute best part of our trip. Matt was fabulous and so very knowledgable about Rome. He took us everywhere we wanted to go and also a couple of secret places that only the locals know. I can’t recommend this enough. SO MUCH FUN!!
Ernesto and Andrea were great. We recommend going on this tour and seeing all the sites at night.
Luka and Massimo where the best tour guides made the experience extra special - what an incredible experience we had the best morning driving through Rome seeing all the sites, made our trip so memorable
We cannot recommend the Vespa sidecar tour with Luxurbe enough! Booking was a breeze, and when their driver was sick, they quickly reached out to reschedule. We were able to find a new time that worked perfectly, and from the moment we met Luca and Massimo, we knew we were in for something special. Riding through Rome in a Vespa sidecar was exhilarating—there’s nothing like feeling the wind on your face while seeing the city’s incredible sights from this unique perspective. Luca and Massimo were fantastic guides, sharing interesting stories and pointing out hidden gems along the way. They were patient, friendly, and made us feel safe while still letting us experience the thrill of the ride. For our kids, this was by far the highlight of their time in Rome. Teenagers especially will love it—it’s fun, cool, and a completely different way to explore the city beyond the usual walking tours. We got to see so much in just a few hours, and the sidecar experience made it unforgettable. If you’re visiting Rome and want a mix of adventure, sightseeing, and a little bit of “wow” factor, this tour is an absolute must. Thank you, Luca and Massimo, for making our day so special—we’ll never forget it!
Our tour was supposed to be afternoon vespa sidecar at 4:30 pm. On the same day of the tour, at 3:45 p.m., we received a call from the tour operator informing us that the Vespa assigned to us had broken down. We were quite surprised, since when we asked how many Vespas they had, they said 42! They offered to switch us to a golf cart tour, but we insisted on the Vespa experience because we had booked it well in advance. I asked if they could at least assign us three separate Vespas, since there were three of us, but they said they didn’t have enough drivers. They also offered to move our tour to 8 p.m., which was too late for us. This was supposed to be a special closing activity for our trip to Rome with my 13-year-old nephew, and instead we ended up adjusting to whatever option they decided to give us. In the end, we accepted the golf cart tour, but it lasted only 1.5 hours instead of the 3 hours we had originally booked—and no clear explanation was provided. We went ahead simply because we had no other plans for that time anymore. Our driver had no idea about what had happened or what route was planned for us. I specifically asked him to at least include the Colosseum, the Roman Forum, and the Bocca della Verità, and he kindly did his best, but it was clear that there was no defined plan for our tour. The experience felt completely improvised, without structure or coordination, and even the usual gelato stop was skipped because of the reduced tour length. They offered to refund the difference for the shorter duration, but honestly, at that point I told them I no longer trusted their promises. What was most disappointing is that they demand 24 hours’ notice if a client needs to cancel, yet they felt entitled to cancel on us just one hour before our scheduled time. If they had notified us earlier, we could have booked another tour. Overall, a very unpleasant experience that left us questioning their professionalism and reliability. Thankfully, we decided to keep our spirits up and close our Roman adventure with optimism—singing “Felicità” as a reminder to find joy even in the unexpected.
We had a wonderful time. So knowledgeable about Rome, and all the sites. Made us feel very comfortable right from the start to the finish. We would recommend this vespar and sidecar experience for everyone.
