This was the worst tour out of all that we have taken. Our tour guide was rude and impatient. Out of all the beautiful exhibit's she only wanted to talk about a select few. It was more a religious education than a historical one. Everyone on the tour complained. She was totally unhelpful with any requests., and did not want to listen to any one on the tour. Our tour was supposed to take 3 hours but only lasted for 2 hours. We hardly had any time to take photographs, and as this was probably our only chance ever to take this tour we were left bitterly disappointed.
Hello Donald, Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. We’re sorry to hear that the experience did not match your expectations. we take comments regarding guiding style and overall experience seriously and will review this internally with our team. We appreciate your perspective, as it helps us continue improving our services. Kind regards, Tomas - Tours For Today
Very crowded. Stay with your guide. You get 10 min in Sistine Chappel. Ear piece to connect with guide.
We were unable to locate the group to go on the tour. We had tried to call the number provided for assistance as we stood across the street from the main entrance but both attempts went to voicemail. So we missed the Viator tour. My friend and I very upset and want our money back! Amongst the throngs of people Viator should make their guides stand out in the crowd.
A very impressive tour! Sylvia led us through 2 hours of history as we walked through Vatican Museums and the Sistine Chapel. She was funny, sharp, and did a great job of simplifying how the prevailing powers and forces of culture, art history, religious institutions, and the ruling class led to the works we saw on the tour. Once we checked into the museum, we received headsets that helped us hear Sylvia as we walked among other groups. The Vatican museums are massive, stretching over several rooms and hallways. This was the main part of the tour, and one did not have to have religious or regional ties or much knowledge of art history to appreciate how impressive everything is. It was hot in August, so would be smart to bring water, as the hallways could get a bit toasty. We did a morning tour and did St. Peter's before meeting up with Sylvia. Around 8:15am those Basilica lines were not long and left us enough time to explore, then walk 15 minutes to out meet up point. This was a huge highlight for our trip!
Thank you, Lexi! We’re so glad you enjoyed the Vatican Museums and Sistine Chapel with Sylvia, and that her knowledge and engaging style made it a highlight of your trip. We hope to see you again on another tour!
The only star is that we were able to skip the line. Our guide could not manage our group of 20 people. She knew very little about the material. People left early. Ear pieces were faulty.
Dear Marissa, Thank you for your feedback. We're glad you were able to benefit from the skip-the-line access and that the full tour was carried out as scheduled. We’re sorry to hear that you didn’t enjoy the experience as much as most of our guests do. Our guides are trained professionals with solid knowledge of the Vatican's history and art, and it’s unusual to hear that people left the tour early. We will look into your comments about the group management and audio equipment, as we aim to offer a quality experience for everyone. We appreciate your opinion and will use it to continue improving our services. Best regards,
It’s very organized I would recommend finding the meeting spot earlier , not to miss finding it as it is tricky to find down side street I wish it could have included going into St Peter’s basilica as a final stop as well Giuseppe was very knowledgeable and fun and kept watch over our group to ensure we didn’t lose him He was very nice
Dear Maria, Thank you very much for taking the time to share your feedback! We are delighted to hear that you found the tour well organized and that you enjoyed Giuseppe’s guidance — we will make sure to share your kind words with him. We appreciate your suggestion regarding the meeting point and will certainly keep it in mind to help future travelers. As for St. Peter’s Basilica, we understand your interest; unfortunately, access depends on the Vatican’s regulations, but we always try to offer the best experience within the tour’s scope. Thank you again for choosing us. We hope to welcome you on another tour in the future! Best regards, The Tours For Today Team
