It's wonderful to skip the long lines, but be prepared for crowds. It appears the museum now greatly oversells tickets and packs people in. This is not the best way to see and experience the art. Our tour guide was knowledgeable. She moved at a fairly rapid pace. If you want more time to see the art (and there is a mind-boggling amount), I recommend buying a skip-the-line ticket and seeing the art at your own pace.

The artwork at the museum was amazing, we loved the hallways leading to the Sistine chapel. The guide did a wonderful job explaining the history and what to look for in the Sistine chapel.

Not able to do the basilica because it was a wednesday. However, our guide Rosa gave us some tips to visit the Basilica after the tour. Explanation of the sistine chapel was great. She was full of information and was funny!

Facility much too crowded! Too many tours all at once. Very very warm. Couldn’t hear well. Artwork obscured by bodies of crowds. Just a mass of disorganized bodies. BUT despite all that, tour guide was excellent, patient and knowledgeable.

We arrived on time, by 315. Tour had left already. No contact with us until too late and awful customer service. Customer service won’t refund our money since the tour occurred. Just not with us. Will never use Viator again.
