Paolo was great! He is very knowledgeable and very kind. He took time to share interesting and fun stories and was very caring with the members of our group. We highly recommend touring the Vatican Museums with Paolo!
The museum is huge and takes quite a while but is definitely worth seeing. The Sistine Chapel and Basilica are a must see. They are breathtaking!
Paulo was PHENOMENAL! Very informative and helpful! I’ll recommend these tours everytime someone wants to go to Italy!
We visited Rome 28th-31st March. Our Skip-the-line entry to Vatican Museums, Sistine Chapel and Basilica tour time was changed twice from 1.30pm to 2.30pm and then to 3pm. Despite purchasing skip-the-line access, we were merged with a group who had not paid for this option. As a result, we were left waiting inside the Vatican for a considerable amount of time while the other group made their way through the standard entry process. It was 3:47 pm by the time the group finally arrived and we were able to collect our audio earpieces. This delay significantly reduced the time we had to enjoy the tour and undermined the value of the upgraded experience we paid for. After requesting a partial refund for the inconvenience and the loss of the skip-the-line benefit from Best in Rome Tours, I am yet to receive a response nearly a week later. During the tour, it was quite difficult to hear the guide through the earpiece, which made it challenging to follow along. Additionally, the 3pm time slot did not allow enough time to properly experience the Basilica. By the time we arrived the guide ended the tour at the Basilica door, leaving us to explore on our own without any guidance. The Basilica itself is truly amazing, it was a shame we didn't have more time in it before it closed. Avoid booking with Best in Rome Tours as once they've taken your money they don't care whether you have a good experience or not.
Paulo is knowledgeable and kind
Paolo was excellent and very knowledgeable. Not only was he witty, he was also considerate and patient. Highly recommend this tour.
Paolo did a great job keeping the group together and aiming the description for a group that ranged from 6 to 60. This was a 2.5-3 hour tour with the time to walk from the meeting point to the Vatican Museum entrance. The entrance to the Vatican Museum is very crowded so was so thankful to have the expert guidance with the 6 year old!
Paulo knows a lot of history about the Vatican. You will learn a lot!
Paolo was the most fantastic guide. Everything on the excursion ran perfectly. Paolo’s knowledge and story telling was what really made this excursion so great. The Vatican, Basilica and Sistine Chapel are a must do, the first sight of the buildings is so captivating. You will not be disappointed.
We were a group of 13 person from Romania and visited Rome in March 2026. Paolo is a well-informed and kind guide. I highly recommend him. Thank you Paolo!
