The most memorable part of the tour was the beauty and artistry of the interior rooms and hallways of the Vatican. Beautiful sculptures, paintings and tapestries everywhere. I liked the historical information the guide provided, yet she seemed rushed and annoyed. The venue over sells tickets and it was shoulder to shoulder in many areas making it difficult to see or enjoy the art. In the Sistine chapel our guide gave us 10 minutes and that included a bathroom break. I barely saw it and at that point lost the guide. We left disappointed.
The Vatican Museums are really very busy. You have to admit this situation.
The guide did a good job navigating through the crowd. She was very clear with directions. Informative.
Thank you so much.
Tour was okay. It is very pricy and don’t think it is worth the extra money for the guided tour. Tickets for the general public are €17pp and headsets €5pp if doing the tour unguided. St Peters basicilla was not included as part of the tour. The Vatican Museum and Sistine Chapel are interesting to go and see once. However would recommend doing this trip unguided & save your €€€.
Thanks for your comment. 17€ Museums ticket cost, if you stand in the general line. Audio guide cost is 7€. Skip the line ticket cost and availability is different. You can do a self guided tour, what is obviously cheaper than live guided tour. You can go through the Internet and check the live guided tours prices. There are different prices. Actually everything depends on mentality. Some people like deep analysis on art, history and culture, some people are not. So it is better to think before purchasing the tour.
