Itinerary
And what is Quinta da Regaleira? They are gardens and a palace that we find in the heart of the Sintra Park. It was built in the twentieth century with a clear slogan: that the palace had all the artistic movements of the time. For this, Luigi Manini, the architect who was in charge of the work, traveled throughout Europe and on his return he brought back the Manueline, neo-Gothic and mythological ideas he had found. As we shall see, mysteries were also built here, one of the most unique being the so-called Initiatory Well of Sintra, a well that, it is said, was used by the Freemasons!
We will go down to Sintra where we will have free time for lunch. We will share with our guide the best ideas for eating in Sintra. Not only will he tell us the best proposals, adapted to all tastes, but he will also tell us which dishes of the Portuguese gastronomy and of the area we can not miss!
The itinerary of this tour includes transportation to Pena Palace; however, admission tickets to the palace are not included in this option. Please note that the itinerary may be subject to changes due to operational requirements or circumstances beyond our control.
Cabo da Roca is the westernmost point of mainland Europe, located on the rugged coast of Portugal. Standing atop dramatic cliffs that rise over 140 meters above the Atlantic Ocean, it offers breathtaking panoramic views and a sense of awe at nature’s power. Marked by a lighthouse and a stone monument, it’s a popular stop for travelers seeking stunning scenery and a symbolic spot where the land meets the endless sea.
We will end our day with a panoramic tour along the Atlantic coast to contemplate its beautiful white sandy beaches. Cascais has always been linked to the royalty of Portugal, who spent their summers here since the nineteenth century, and to the most important landmarks of the country, largely due to its strategic position.

An impressive experience without a doubt!! Our guide Caterina is a 10, not an 11!!! Super fun, attentive, approachable, motivated!! She has made us have a great day; it shows that she has knowledge of her country and enjoys and shares it wonderfully. The visits are super interesting; they explain all the curiosities and important facts of each location. From minute 0, they introduce you to the journey, and you do not want the day to end. This is how traveling should be!!
Our guide was funny and very knowledgeable about the history. We had enough time to explore all 3 sites we visited.
Excellent tour, beautiful country, very scenic, knowledgeable guides. Pace was good for all ages. Gonzales was superb.
I took my ticket for 1:30 pm. Unfortunately because of the bus and traffic plus the queue I arrived 1h15 after my arrival time and was refused entry. I was ready to wait for the next slot but I always had the right to refuse. No refund more of that. I find it disrespectful and really petty! Especially since nothing is explained either on the site or how the tail works. I have a very bad memory of it really it is not commercial at all!
The guide very documented and friendly. I loved the visit to the Quinta da Regaleira and the exteriors and interior of the Palacio da Pena. I recommend the visit!
An interesting day, we first stopped in Sintra and walked up to Quinta de Regaleira which is fascinating and photogenic. After time to eat in Sintra we took a small coach to Palace of Pena. Be warned this day involves plenty of walking on steep up and down cobble stones, chose your footwear accordingly. Lastly we stopped at Cape Roca the western most point of mainland Europe. Edwarda and Miguel were both brilliant. A really good day and value for money considering everything involved
We did not get what we paid for. Our excursion wad supposed to be Sintra, Quinta da Regaleira and Cascais. What we got was Pena Palace, Quinta de Regsleira and Cabo de Roca. Cabo de Roca was a complete waste of time. It was 45 minutes further away from Lisbon and we got to spend 35 minutes there. Of which 20 minutes was standing in line for the bathroom. Would have rather went to the scenic town of Cascais which was on our way back to Lisbon and what we paid for. Outside of those major issues, our tour guides were amazing. I would just be cautious of a bait and switch tour from this company.
Wonderful balance of activities. Our guide Francisco was exceptional: well informed and engaging with a lovely sense of humor!
The guides were very friendly and knowledgeable. Robinson was our main guide. He assisted us ro buy tickets ro a part of our tour that wasn't included and i am glad. Pena palace and gardens were amazing! It's a great day out with lots to see. It was our favorite part of our trip to Lisbon.
Best tour! Guide was knowledgeable, kind & patient. Do not miss this tour. A must do tour in Lisbon. Lot of walking, so wear comfortable shoes.
