Sultan Ahmed Mosque, known as the Blue Mosque by many tourists because of its bluish interior decoration (blue tiles surrounding the walls of interior design), is the most important mosque of Istanbul standing next to the Byzantine Hippodrome in the old city center..
"Sultan Ahmet Center", the heart of the "Old City" from where the Byzantine and Ottoman Empires were ruled.
Topkapı Palace was the seat of Ottoman Empire more than 380 years where 24 of 36 Sultans lived and ruled their land. The palace was transformed into a museum in 1924 and now one of Turkey’s richest museums with its permanent and temporary exhibition halls. Buildings and courtyards, including a treasury, apartments, bathhouses, harems, and an armoury, holy relics section, not to mention imperial halls, kitchens and royal chambers that make a visit into Topkapi’s inner walls one of the world’s great wonders. This is a small street with beautiful historic houses which are leaning against the wall of Topkapi Palace.

- Modest clothing should be preferred when visiting the Blue Mosque. Shorts for men or women should be below the knee. Women cover their heads and exposed shoulders with a scarf or shawl, skirt should be below the knee. For those who do not have suitable clothes, stands are available at the entrance. Overalls and headscarves are provided for free of charge.

Tolga was a great guide. Just the two of us in this party so a really personal experience. Well paced tour of 2 great sites. A knowledgeable guide and plenty of time to take in the sights. Tolga really brought the history alive with stories of palace life, but also gave us time to wander at our own pace. In 3.5 hour you cannot see everything, but he left us with pointers in what more there was to see after he left us. Good value, and so much better than an audio guide.

The tour was wonderful. Nadriye was very patient with my elderly mother and my young daughter who were slower than the rest of us. She was very attentive and considerate. The palace and mosque are a great glimpse into istanbuls wonderful history and a must see for any tourists in the city.

What scams, what are the 70 euros paid when booking for? Be careful you also have to pay 80th to the guide to access the palace, I do not recommend this visit at all, do it alone if possible, you will only pay 1500try with a audio guide, never again TripAdvisor

Our guide was very knowledgeable, and willing to share. We were both injured (knee strains) and unable to walk quickly but our guide was extremely accommodating in that she walked slowly and allowed us frequent rest breaks.
