Arte, Storia e Magia a Firenze!

Our rainy day adventure by train to Firenze turned out to be one of the most memorable parts of our Italy trip. The city was absolutely charming in the rain — romantica, beautiful, and full of life. The experience at the Galleria degli Uffizi was incredible thanks to Elena(?), a true Fiorentina whose intelligence, warmth, and passion for art made the museum come alive. She brought Renaissance history to life in such an engaging and thoughtful way, making every room feel magical. Enrico!! He’s an outstanding guide, giving us a fantastic tour of Firenze filled with history, local stories, and wonderful energy. Together, they made the entire day unforgettable! Love to go on another tour trip with Enrico, see you in Puglia!! Una giornata bellissima in Firenze — highly recommend to anyone wanting to truly experience the beauty and spirit of Tuscany.

Fabulous Florence

Fantastic customer care from Yohana. She was able to arrange tickets to a museum for us when we arrived and the guide Ellener was incredible with so much knowledge that I would have liked longer with her. A fabulous day in Florence for all

A great day!

What a great day we had. Our escort Enrico did a good job helping us navigate the Rome train system. He communicated what was going on and exactly what we needed to do. He checked in on us to make sure we were well and had no questions. Upon arrival to Florence he passed us along to Giovanni who did an excellent job walking us through Florence to the Uffizi and then giving us a guided tour of the museum’s highlights. During this, he explained the birth of the Renaissance in an understandable way and who the influential people were during that time. At the end of the day, Enrico was at the train station ready to take us back to Rome. Wish we had more time in Florence!! This tour was well worth the cost and certainly gave us a small taste of a beautiful city!

Good but could be better with more organization and care of people and better itinerary.

We used City Wonders for a few trips then Gray Line. Each guide was different. One was informative the other was not. We ended up leaving and going rogue again from the museum. It was very slow moving and we had already been late to city due to train no fault of Gray Line. Guide did not have a flag to follow him. The guide was nice but it was get into Florence and… meet back at this point at a specific time then vanished. I felt the itinerary for both Gray Line tours we did…did not have a plan. Unfortunately, due to the care of people (making sure to check constantly of the numbers, always give bathroom breaks where a bathroom was available and even though City Wonders did not always cover food in their trips they made a point to plan a stop or order pizza on your behalf after something so they knew you were fed of you were wanting to eat. My opinion is, I love the high speed train portion I feel that Gray Line needs to be more organized and caring. Still enjoyed the time we separated from the groups so we could just relax.

Good day in Florence

Matteo was a great guide. There is no tour of the Uffizi which was fine with us. The train plus museum entry worth the price.

Too expensive for what you get

We arrived at 7:20 in order to ensure we were on time for the 7:30 meeting time. Representative arrived approx 7:40. He did a good job getting us and a Spanish speaking couple through the train station and onto our high speed train. Florence was beautiful but without a guide, the Uffasi gallery was not a great experience. We thought a guided tour was included. In addition it was too crowed with school children running around and in general far more crowded than expected. We gave up before our time was up and decided to wander around a sample the local food and do a bit of shopping. It would have been better to just take a transfer or go on our own (and cheaper too) as we learned little of Florence from our guide! We tipped him anyway because he likely delivered what he was supposed to but the excursion didn’t meet are expectations.
