Our guided 3-hour Taste of Rome Walking Food Tour lets you experience Rome like a local, in an authentic neighborhood where people live, eat and have fun after working hours.
Try real roman pasta, street snacks and real ice cream in ancient surroundings. The tour highlights includes: Italian cheeses, prosciutti and salami with wine; Roman’s most popular street food: Rome’s 2 most famous pasta dishes with wine; Last but not least top-rated gelato in Rome run by a local family from many years. The tour will take place at the Campo dè Fiori area! Known to locals as the “heart of Rome”, is the city’s original foodie neighborhood and where the most famous open market of the city takes place during the day. The guided tour continues to the old city center of Rome and Pompey theatre. You will visit famous Ancient Roman ruins and other historic buildings. If you choose the morning slot you’ll visit our local market and meet the vendors who have been there for generations! If you take the evening tour you will taste the most delicious pasta you’ve ever had, just like romans do!

Loved it! The tour was changed at the last minute but they upgraded to a longer and I think was a better tour. This happened on other tours i booked so make sure to check your messages to not miss any changes! It was a great way to tour a city, with eating the local cuisine. We were in the historic Jewish quarter and at one restaurant with the pasta samples after eating they took us down to the basement where when they dig it out found 2 rooms from the 1st century BC! Only in Rome could that happen

Marco was great! We had delicious food and wine. He was very knowledgeable and friendly. You do not get all food in pictures. We were looking forward to the prosciutto sampling but did not have any.

The actual tour name was “San Giovanni and Appio Food Tour”. Our guide, Bruno, was very knowledgeable about Rome, history, and food. The Mercato Latina was one of the highlights, as were Santinumi and Fassi gelato.
We never get tired of these food & drink tours. You get a walking history lesson around every turn. The guide was great
