Our guide, Ferdinando, was so knowledgeable and shared it so generously, it was such a memorable tour opportunity!
Evening private tour well worth it. Our English speaking guide, Fernando was wonderful, knowledgeable and very accommodating. He was able to change tour time several times per request. The experience in a word, overwhelming. The beauty, awe-inspiring, the history and being able to see the change over time in style and artistic freedom or lack there of, fantastic. Highly recommend.
Ferdinando's evening tour of the Vatican Museums and Sistine Chapel was one of the best tours I have experienced. He is so knowledgeable and has a way of explaining the history that was captivating. We enjoyed his tour so much we booked a tour of the Collesium and Forum the next day with him. I highly recommend Rome in Tours and Ferdinando as your guide.
Fantastic tour, and an excellent, guide! Fernandino, is so informed and intelligent! Don’t miss an opportunity to see all that you can, with his guidance!
Ferdinando was the best guide from start to finish! As a guide, he is extremely knowledgeable and does a wonderful job explaining the significance of everything. He was great with communication, if we had any questions he had the answer. The day never felt like we were on regular guided tour, it was more like we were taking in the sites with our friend, Ferdinando. Booking our tours was also a breeze as he was in constant contact via email and we never had to worry about a thing. There were four of us touring the Vatican with him in the early morning and he made sure we were all comfortable with the tour and sights before moving on to the next awe inspiring location. He was very accommodating with our party of four as adjustments had to be made during the tour due to the Pope's audience however, he was able to take care of things with us without any difficulties. The early morning Vatican tour is certainly worth the early wake up call. We were visiting in October and were able to stroll through the Vatican Museums with ease and had much of the space to ourselves, which was extremely nice. We were able to see so much more in the early morning at our own pace, with much more room to just take it all in without the mass of people in the later afternoon. We also arranged to see the Colosseum, Palatine Hill and Forum with him the following day with our party of six, which unfortunately we were unable to see with Ferdinando, but he made sure we were taken care of nonetheless. There was a storm on the day of our Colosseum tour, but Ferdinando was able to arrange a fellow colleague to be our guide. He still met us in the morning and checked on us throughout the tour to make sure things went smoothly for us despite the downpour of rain. I would absolutely recommend Ferdinando and his company to any friends visiting Rome. Don't hesitate to book with Rome in Tours! It's certainly worth the experience to see Rome with Ferdinando!
Ferdinando was a wonderful guide through the art, history, and architecture of the Vatican and ancient Rome. He was very easy to communicate with over email. He had to switch the two tours due to ticket limitations for the early entry to the Vatican Museum, but he stayed with us until the door to St. Peter's were opened after the Pope's audience. We spent an awe-inspiring quarter of an hour with the Sistine Chapel before the crowds descended on it and were free to sit or stand in peace. He showed us all the nooks and crannies of the museum over about 5 hours, until we were able to enter St. Peter's and say goodbye until the next day, Ferdinando was in his element when he took us through the Colosseum, Palatine Hill and Forum, since he was an archeologist and had worked on some of the digs. He had helpful illustrations of what the buildings we were looking at had looked like in their prime. It was a hot day, but Ferdinando keep everyone's attention and we had a great walk through history. I would absolutely recommend Ferdinando as a guide of historical Rome.
