Trip with a teenager. We were lucky with the weather when there came a little rain we escaped therefore the queue so people disappeared. Bring some drinks to the queue on hot days, which may take time. Important with clothing covering shoulders and knees. There are some stairs to climb to get to the top, but it is recommended. An imaginary experience
Our guide, Alessandra, was fantastic! Excellent attitude with our 8 and 11 yo - calm, engaging and they learned a lot. She also gave us a great recommendation for a place to eat afterwards. We were actually there in March 2022, it took me a while to leave this review, but Alessandra deserves the accolades :)
Our guide Maria was so informative and engaging! She did a game with prizes and a scavenger hunt. It was a true highlight of our trip!
Seldom will you do trips that move you and your kid at the same time. We had booked Italy tour for kids basis the great reviews and knowing well that our daughter would enjoy the experience much more if knowledge was transferred in a fun way to her. Alessandra(Ali) not only went beyond our expectations but made the experience one which filled my daughter with excitement and wonder, awe and appreciation and kept her glued for over 4 hours. Ali has expertise and she can break down the most complicated stories so that a kid would understand without ever diluting the essence. Simultaneously she had really powerful discussions with us - the parents and could provide a lot of side bar information that only someone who has great depth would know. She ensured we understood the significance of where we were by walking us through history and making the whole experience alive and energising. Personally, I had waited years to visit the Sistine chapel but it was only through Ali that the experience became transcendental for me. I was moved to tears as I sat and absorbed the art on the chapel ceiling and guess what, next to me sat my then 7 yr old - also transfixed by what she saw, quietly understanding every detail that Ali had shared with us before we entered. PS: Let me point out that I have waited months to share a review for this experience. As per trip advisor norms, you can’t review the same service provider twice - so you have to wait for over 3-4 months to space them out. I had reviewed Pompeii and so had to wait for putting up this review. So you can imagine how much love and warmth and gratitude We have towards Alessandra(Ali).
Hello! Thank you very much to share your experience with us!We hope to see you soon! Best regards
