We had the best time and would highly recommend this tour, especially if you can get Jimena as your tour guide! Pick up at the hotel was easy, the ride to Sintra was comfortable and safe. Once we got to Sintra, Jimena did a fantastic job explaining the history and importance of the sites. She was a lot of fun and vey personable. Sintra is so beautiful and a definitely a must see if you are in Lisbon.
My husband and I came to Lisbon on our honeymoon eager to explore its culture and beauty. We booked a day trip to Sintra, and were paired with our host Inês - best thing that could have happened for us! She made our day the highlight of our trip. From the very start, she was friendly and personable. She shared lots about Portugal’s history and Sintra’s origins with us throughout the day, which impressed us immensely. Her approach was very effective, as she gave us plenty of time to explore the grounds on our own accord, but always made herself available if we needed her. We shared our country’s special food dishes and fun stories tied with each, shared funny stories, and left our trip having made a new friend! 10/10 recommend - and you should special request Inês as your host for the best experience!
Fantastic way to see the region and customize your experience. Two palaces and a fabulous seaside lunch was a perfect combination. Ask for advice and don't try to cram too much into one day. My guide Rodrigo was so interesting, a perfect gentleman and as a solo traveler, he was exactly what I needed.
What a wonderful day! Our guide Ana was friendly, knowledgable, fun and felt like part of the family by the end of the day. She knew all the best places to see and how to skip the waits and lines. Even my nine year old twins were fully engaged on the full day trip to Sintra. They loved the small scavenger hunts Ana had planned for them along the way. I highly recommend this tour. It was the highlight of our trip to Portugal!
We had an outstanding day trip to Sintra with guide Catarina. She was incredibly knowledgeable and brought the history of the area to life. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend this tour and Catarina to anyone visiting Portugal.
We had an incredible day exploring Sintra with Eduardo! From the stunning architecture and mysterious gardens of Quinta da Regaleira to the colorful hilltop beauty of Pena Palace, every stop was unforgettable. Eduardo was knowledgeable, friendly, and passionate about sharing the history, legends, and culture of the area. We also loved our visit to the beautiful Sintra coastline and beach, where the views were absolutely breathtaking. Eduardo kept the day well organized, provided excellent recommendations, and made sure everyone was comfortable and enjoying themselves. His enthusiasm and storytelling brought each location to life, making this one of the highlights of our trip to Portugal. We highly recommend Eduardo to anyone wanting a memorable and informative excursion to Sintra. Thank you for an amazing day! 🇵🇹✨ Kim & Family
Excellent planning by Joao (John) Fernandes for the Sintra and Pena palaces. Superb historical information, places to rest, eat and the drive was well planned 11 on 10 Joao !!
We had great experience with Luis, visiting Sintra and 3 palaces. Luis is very knowledgeable, friendly and fun to be with on tour. We enjoyed the conversation with him, and have a lot of good memories. Thank you Luis for the beautiful day in Sintra.
Couldn’t have gotten a better experience from planning to execution to post tour follow-up questions. I had the pleasure of organizing a tour for a group of 24 people aged 15 to 82 from three different states. What could have been a daunting task was made very easy with the staff at Picta. They helped build a manageable itinerary and were always accessible whenever I had questions. Our guides, Catarina and Antonio, were absolutely delightful - Kind, friendly, and fun. They easily flexed when our cruise ship debarkation was delayed, watched over our older folks with eagle eyes to ensure they stayed safe and comfortable during the more strenuous parts of the tour, and offered many local approved recommendations for shopping and food. The bus we traveled in was so nice - comfortable and clean. The driver was exceptionally skilled navigating narrow roadways scattered with other cars and pedestrians. Our beach lunch stop had the most amazing ocean views with phenomenal fresh seafood food. One of the owners actually caught and served the sea bass we ate. I recommend Picta to anyone who wants to plan a thoughtful, organized, private tour with a reputable and reliable tour company.
We had a very enjoyable day with Pedro exploring the palaces of Sitra. He was very knowledgeable and his English was very good. Very glad we used your tour instead of trying to do it ourselves. Thank you
