The tour starts by picking travelers in their hotel / Airbnb or Port in Lisbon, Sintra or Cascais
We will discover the colorful streets of Sintra while hearing fantastic stories about its history. After having a walk through the center you will learn about the fascinating architecture behind the National Palace in Sintra and before leaving you will taste its unique and delicious pastry, a delicacy which locals have been selling for more than two hundred years.
After, we will enter a place that will make you feel in wonderland: Palace of Quinta da Regaleira. A place full of magic, romantic architecture and beautiful gardens. You will walk through its caves before you get to know the famous 27 meter iniciatic well and the stories behind it. This will be a guided visit.
We will stop for a few minutes to admire the amazing views of this 19th century summer palace. You will learn about its famous owner and his exorbitant hobbies, while admiring the unique architecture behind it. If you want to see the exterior or visit the interior, please let us know beforhand because there are some roads that are closed.
Embark on a beautiful drive where you will encounter the picturesque and hidden towns of Colares and Penedo until we reach the coastline and the amazing village of Azenhas do Mar. Azenhas do Mar offers one of the best viewpoints where you will be able to appreciate this breathtaking fisherman’s town
We will stop at this amazing rock cliff beach in the coast. In Praia Grande you will have lunch in a beachfront local restaurant that offers delicious sea food and meat choices. For those curious to try Portuguese cuisine, this is the perfect place.
Explore the impressive coastline through secret places on our way to Cabo da Roca- The westernmost point of continental Europe. This place is what we call the end of the world. Be ready to admire the magnificent views and its cliffs.
End the day with the most colorful and magnificent palace in Sintra: the Pena Palace. A national monument that constitutes one of the major expressions of 19th-century Romanticism in the world. It is unique and it’s a classic example of the romanticism period in Portugal and in Europe. At the top you will have the best views toward Lisbon, Sintra, and Cascais. This will be a guided visit.
Admire this X century castle in the middle of the lush forest of Sintra. You will get to know about the North African Moors who build it and about the Christians who conquered it 4 centuries later. If want to visit in the inside let us know with anticipation

Lourenço was an excellent guide. He provided the dynamic history of Sintra- Pena Palace and Quinta de Regaleria. In addition, he shared a lot about Portugal and different areas of the country.. He took us to Nortada for an amazing ocean view lunch . We chose three of the fresh seafood options on the menu ! Excellent preparation and layers of flavor. Having a private tour like this was phenomenal. Also suggest purchasing the skip the line tickets to the Palace . The tickets both to the palace and Quinta are in addition to the tour fee which includes 45 min drive to and from as well as the drive to the Resturant and guided info. The company sent a separate email to purchase the tickets . They arranged the times etc but you can customize as well as customizing the trip. Glad we left at 8:30 as Lourenço suggested. If possible we would request him as a private guide for our plans for a future trip back to Portugal. Oh- he is an excellent driver. The car was immaculate.

Our tour of Sintra with our guide, Maya, was absolutely amazing! From the very beginning, she was incredibly professional, picking us up right on time at the agreed location. Maya took us to several beautiful palaces and shared the history, fascinating facts, curiosities, and legends of Sintra in such an engaging and detailed way. Thanks to her, we were able not only to learn so much, but also to truly fall in love with Sintra and Portugal. Fantastic experience. Our guide, Ines, brought the history of Sintra (and Portugal, as whole) to life and provided context that made everything make sense. Every detail was handed well, from pick up at our hotel through our return. The pacing was perfect and we saw everything we wanted to see (no more, no less). Highly recommend this tour company, and if you can get Ines, even better.

We had an amazing day with Diogo on our custom tour of Sintra. Diogo was so well informed on the Quinta Da Regaleira castle and made it extra special for us and our 12 year old boys. We really enjoyed stopping for traditional pastries of Sintra at Casa Piriquita - the Travesseiro was our fave and a definite must order! Diogo also brought us to an amazing stand where we could purchase authentic hand painted tiles from the artist himself. After that we took a ride through the countryside to the most western point of Europe, overlooking the Atlantic Ocean. The highlight of our trip was having lunch at Monte Mar Restaurant in Cascais, overlooking the ocean. We ended our day by driving through the stunning upscale beach town of Cascais. This was something we didn’t originally plan for but was not to be missed! It was an incredible, memorable day for our family. We truly appreciated being able to customize the trip to our desire. Eduardo’s considerate and intelligent guiding was evident in all parts of our trip. We thoroughly enjoyed our day with him and learned a lot about life in Portugal as well as Sintra history. He took extra care to make sure the kitchen prepared a gluten free meal for our lunch at the incredible seafood restaurant they take you to. It was superb!
