We really enjoyed our day and Mario was a great tour guide!
Xavier best driver and tour guide awesome ! No hassle best in all factors and timing. History of the castle consideration of all also more insight of the villages . A must do book it !
We had a wonderful day, perfect weather!. We visited the Pena Palace in the morning, had a wonderful lunch in Sintra, and then went to Quinta da Regaleira in the afternoon. So much beauty, both inside and outside! We had a wonderful tour guide Mari who knew just where to go when, what to recommend, and was very knowledgeable about everything we saw.
Maria Willey, our guide, was very knowledgable, punctual, and professional. She designed a best route for us on such a rainy and stormy day. Thank you very much.
Excellent day trip to Palacio da Pena and Quinta da Regaleira. Without haste or haste we could see both places without difficulty of long lines or waiting. The guide Joao very friendly and proved to have great knowledge about the history of Portugal. Also thank you for your great enthusiasm! We recommended lunch in a typical Portuguese food place where we had time to taste their delicious dishes quietly. Absolutely recommended!
Early morning visit to Pena Palace recommended to avoid queues to buy the ticket. Climbing possible (even with children) from the station but not recommended if you want to enjoy the different visits on the day. Possibility to walk between palaces. Superb palace of Pena, stroll in the park super nice on nearly 2 hours with children. Disappointing Quinta da Regaleira for adults but the children enjoyed the hiding places and the little balancing games!
Walking through the gardens, underground galleries, and seeing the wells is spectacular. The landscapes are idyllic and the mansion and other buildings have amazing architecture. My only negative point is to get to the aquarium and see that it is putrid water and the house inside, the part we could see, as the upper floors were closed were just nice compared to the outside. It is still essential if you are traveling to Sintra.
If you visit Sintra you can spend a day to walk calmly through its beautiful gardens where you can get lost and find places to enjoy The inciatico well can be walked is stone and has several floors with steps but easy access, The climb to the castle is quite expensive to do it on foot but can be done with bus or vehicles that pick you up at the agreed time
