Your day begins at a central Lisbon meeting point in front of Hard Rock Cafe Lisboa on Av. da Liberdade. Look for your guide holding a sign, then settle into the air-conditioned minibus for the scenic drive west toward the Atlantic coast.
Pull into the sun-drenched seaside village of Cascais and enjoy free time to stretch your legs along the bay. Grab a coffee or pastry at a marina café, or wander the sandy beaches of this former royal retreat.
Continue along the rugged Guincho coastal road to Cabo da Roca, the westernmost point of mainland Europe. Free time at the lighthouse lets you photograph cliffs plunging into the Atlantic below and stand at the literal edge of the continent.
Roll into Sintra Center for free time among cobblestone streets, pastel facades, and pastry shops. Find a local spot for lunch at your own expense, or ask your guide for recommendations on where to try the famous travesseiros pastry.
Step onto the sun-soaked terraces of Pena Palace, a 19th-century palace painted in red and yellow with Moorish, Gothic, and Manueline influences. Stroll the forested gardens to hilltop lookouts framing the Moorish Castle and endless expanses of trees and water.

Nev made our day exploring Sintra, the Atlantic coast, and Cascais truly special! She was friendly, knowledgeable, and engaging, and made everyone feel comfortable from the very beginning. Her stories and insights brought each place to life and added a personal and fun touch to the whole experience. The organization was amazing from start to finish. Visiting Pena Palace and other stops on your own in one day would be quite difficult, but the minibus made everything so easy and comfortable. It was the perfect way to experience three very different and beautiful places without worrying about transport, parking, or planning. It was a perfect mix of history, spectacular views, and enough time to enjoy each destination without ever feeling rushed. I would highly recommend this tour to anyone visiting the area!
Booked the tour with TheTourGuys. Our guide was Nev who was very knowledgeable with the areas we were taken. Gave us fun facts and suggested places to eat. Too bad we weren’t able to see the palace BUT Nev informed us that we would be refunded. So its nice knowing that TheTourGuys are a company that respects their customers.

This was such a lovely tour! Rui was a fabulous and dedicated tour guide and his knowledge of this area of Portugal was outstanding. He also knows where all the good photo ops are at all the sites. The pickup and drop off was super easy by the Hard Rock Cafe and the minibus is super comfortable. Be prepared to walk but it is a wondered tour! Highly recommend!
