On this exclusive tour, you will visit two local wines, where you will learn about the history of the farms, the families who founded them and the traditions they preserve to this day. During the visits, you will have the opportunity to taste 6 to 7 different wines, including the exclusive Moscatel Roxo de Setúbal, and you can purchase your My Saves directly from the winery stores. The cellars can alternate as available. Please note that this tour may be subject to change without notice if any cellar has visitor restrictions. A family business with almost two centuries of history that, without ever resting on the glories conquered, has been able to modernize. José Maria da Fonseca has been operating wine since 1834, the fruit of the shared passion of a family that has preserved and projected the memory and prestige of its founder. Conscious of the responsibility of being the oldest producer of table wine and Moscatel de Setúbal in Portugal, José Maria da Fonseca has a philosophy of permanent development, which makes it invest more and more in research and of production, combining the most modern techniques with traditional knowledge. An example of this is the Adega José de Sousa Rosado Fernandes, in Reguengos de Monsaraz, Alentejo, where the Roman tradition of fermenting in clay pots keeps abreast of the latest technology.
In 1997, Bacalhôa Vinhos de Portugal, then known as JP Vinhos, moved from Pinhal Novo to the Azeitão wine region in the heart of the Setúbal Peninsula and settles into an emblematic building designed and built by António d'Avillez , symbol of modernity anchored in tradition. The building is a glazed hexagon where innovative solutions for design and execution have been found, both in the cellar area and in the office area. They reveal a creativity and a sense of efficiency where they marry the magical and traditional environment of the cellars where lie thousands of bottles and a real armada of barrels of wine stage.

Had a great time with our tour guide Pedro. He was very funny and told us a lot about the wineries. He was also a great translator for one of the wine tours!
Great tour. Ana was a brilliant guide and it was unexpected to effectively have a private tour to the vineyards with no one else in the car. The 2 vineyards we visited were interesting, especially the slightly strange African art addition at 1, and the wine was pretty tasty!

Our guide Anna was absolutely fantastic. She was knowledgeable about the region and organized and helpful at the wineries. Most importantly, she was kind and a pleasure to get to know. The wines were delightful and the wineries were stunning.

We had a wonderful day! Pedro picked us up super flexibly in Lisbon and drove us to two great wineries. The tasting of the regional wines was excellent, and Pedro was a fantastic addition to the local guides. That he also dropped us off directly at the restaurant afterward was a great extra service. Absolutely recommendable, would love to do it again!

Pedro picked us up promptly and drove us to Setúbal. He was very charismatic and knowledgeable of the region and process, and took us from vineyard to vineyard. The wines were quite good, and the vineyards were beautiful and interesting. Although we booked a small group tour, it was effectively private, as no one else was in the car, which was very nice. Highly recommend for an afternoon from Lisbon.

This tour is fun and informative. Luis was friendly and knowledgeable about the region, the wineries, and history. The wineries were very different, but both were very good. One historic and the other more modern.
