It was really cool to see everything there. The art the museum was all incredible. The structure itself was amazing. Must do.
I chose a time from the given schedules while booking, that being 7pm hence the website said entry was available until 9:30pm. Upon arrival, we were not let in as the building was closing as regulary operated. I requested a refund due to the inconveniente and have yet to receive a response.
We booked tickets for 7pm. The duration says 1-2 hours. The place closes at 7pm, and last entry is 6.45pm. So the ticket we were sold could never be used for the time we booked. We arrived 45 minutes early luckily, got in right on last entry but by the time we got through the line we had less than 5 minutes to see the site. 6.58pm security was escorting everyone out. Essentially they sold us a ticket that could never be used.
The highlight of the Vittoriano Monument is definitely the roof top Great 360-degree city views including the Colosseo, Foro Romano, Pantheon, and St. Peter's baldachin (dome). The building is beautiful. Beyond the roof top, there is not a lot to see. The tomb of the unknown soldier is probably compelling if your Italian. There are some sculptures and art displays to see. I think the ticket for the roof top was worth the admission.
Would highly recommend this experience for the views alone. Take the elevator to the top for panoramic views and you can see all the major monuments. We absolutely loved it.
Tickets not honored. Arrived on time and turned away and told it was closed. Neither Viator nor the monument will refund. Will pursue CC options.
Spare some time for this place . It may not have something unique to offer but it its place , where without agenda , spend some time . Ideal place to take your meal break while enjoying aerial views, surrounding buildings, open spaces with relatively less crowd . Take it at an easy pace . It’s a time for break . Toilets are busy but clean . Staff is co operative. 18 € Just for going to upper terrace is little high .
