Itinerary
The Pantheon is a former Roman temple and, since 609 AD, a Catholic church in Rome, Italy, on the site of an earlier temple commissioned by Marcus Agrippa during the reign of Augustus.
Navona Square is one of the most spectacular and characteristic squares of Baroque Rome, built on the remains of the Stadium of Domitian.
The Trevi Fountain is an 18th-century fountain in the Trevi district in Rome, Italy, designed by Italian architect Nicola Salvi and completed by Giuseppe Pannini and several others.
The Spanish Steps in Rome, Italy, climb a steep slope between the Piazza di Spagna at the base and Piazza Trinità dei Monti, dominated by the Trinità dei Monti church, at the top.
Rich in colours and sounds, Piazza Campo dè Fiori is one of the souls of Rome; in the center overlooks the statue of philosopher Giordano Bruno burned alive in the center of the piazza.
Villa Borghese is a landscape garden in Rome, containing a number of buildings, museums and attractions. It is the third largest public park in Rome.
The Palatine Hill, which relative to the seven hills of Rome is the centre most, is one of the most ancient parts of the city and has been called "the first nucleus of the Roman Empire."
The Circus Maximus is an ancient Roman chariot-racing stadium and mass entertainment venue in Rome. It was the first and largest stadium in ancient Rome and its later Empire.
The Aventine Hill is one of the Seven Hills on which ancient Rome was built. It belongs to Ripa, the modern twelfth rione, or ward, of Rome.
The Piazza del Popolo (meaning The People's Square) is located inside the northern gate of the city, which was once called Porta Flaminia.
The church of Sant'Ignazio di Loyola was built on a design by the Jesuit mathematician Orazio Grassi, based on the plans of Carlo Maderno and others, and at the expense of Cardinal Ludovico Ludovisi, nephew of Gregorio XV, as the inscription on the facade recalls; this is inspired by that of the nearby church of Gesù, with two orders of pilasters and Corinthian columns, enriched by large windows, niches with tympanum and folders.
The Mausoleum of Augustus in Rome, a large circular tomb is a key monument for exploring the reuse, reinterpretation, and rediscovery of antiquities over time, and it has a long, complex history that continues to resonate today.
The Column of Marcus Aurelius and Faustina which stands in Piazza Colonna in Rome is thought to have been erected by Commodus in memory of his father and mother sometime around 180 CE.
Located between Via del Corso and Via dei Fori Imperiali, Piazza Venezia derives its shape from the remaking of the area, which took place at the turn of the 19th and 20th centuries, for the construction of the Monumento a Vittorio Emanuele II.
This striking museum showcases the Mercati di Traiano (Trajan's Markets), the emperor Trajan's towering 2nd-century complex, while also providing a fascinating introduction to the Imperial Forums with multimedia displays, explanatory panels and a smattering of archaeological artefacts.
In the Aventine hill, the Orange Garden of Rome is one of the city’s most beloved natural areas. This beautiful park covers almost 8,000 square meters and offers a panorama over Rome; if there is time we will stop also the the KeyHole of Rome.
LONG BEFORE THE MODERN LIE detector and its harmlessly jittering graphs and wires were invented, the superstitious and untruthful faced a much more severe fate between the jaws of the Bocca della Verità, or Mouth of Truth, an ancient carving which is said to bite the hands off of liars.
LOCATED IN THE ANCIENT FORUM Boarium near the Tiber River, the Temple of Hercules and Portunus is a well-preserved example of ancient Roman architecture. The temple overlooked the fluvial port of Rome, watching over the goods entering the city.
The theatre of Marcellus was the largest and most important theatre in Rome and completed in the late 1st century BCE during the reign of Augustus. The architecture of the theatre would become a standard feature of theatres across the empire and influence the façades of such iconic buildings as the Colosseum.

Our guide took us all over Rome, we requested to see the Vatican and he obliged us. We did a quick drive by which was fine. The original tour information stated we would see Borghese Gardens, Navona Piazza, the Pantheon and Trevi Fountain, which we did not go by. Thank goodness we stayed close to this area and were able to see it on our own. But for the price, and the proximity, this tour should have taken us. Commentator was very limited. The driver did purchase us an Italian coffee ice, which was very good!
Our tour guide, Francesco made this experience an incredible day! He took us to see most of the main attractions in Rome in a three hour period. He was charming and spoke excellent English. He shared so many great facts that we wish we recorded the whole adventure. He also took us to get rice balls at a favorite local spot and booked us a reservation for nice dinner near the train station. We could never have experienced Rome without this refreshing tour on a golf cart. Next time we are in Rome, we will look him up and this same tour! Don’t miss it.
This was the best several hours we spent in Rome and the best guided tour we have been on anywhere. We were a family of 8 with a 5, 8 and 12 year old. Just our family. These two guys were an absolute riot. They are like two stand up comics. We were laughing for 3 hours. If you have little kids ask them to take you to the magic wall. Don't think of this as just another tour in a cart. It was an experience with non stop jokes, laughter and engagement. It felt like we were in a mobile Broadway performance. The only negative was the cost. Get over it. You'll have the time of your life. And no. I am not related to them and don't even know their last names. Plus the history of each location we stopped at was explained in great detail for the adults who were interested when we were not laughing.
Sabrina was wonderful. She accommodated our request to visit sites outside of the central district which included the Appian Way, Catacombs, the Baths, and many of her favorite spots. Sabrina was fun and entertaining with her youthful energy. Loved our tour and time with Sabrina.
Claudio was AMAZING!!!! He made touring FUN and we saw so much of Rome! Definitely recommend if you’re only spending a few days in Rome.
This was one the best parts of our trip to Rome. Our guide took us to so many incredible places, gave us a lot of history, and took us to get gelato. We loved our tour.
Marco was our driver and he was a wonderful guide. He helped us get a quick view of the entire city and told us little interesting insights along the way.
Ivanna, was the best and most informative guide out of our 4 day tours. Extremely friendly and wishes to allow you the freedom to visit areas of less traveled. Sweet and joyful time with her and best experience! …
Nadia, did a fantastic job. The tour was pleasant. Nadia was accommodating and the tour was so much fun.
My other review of my tour with Francesco should be on this tour. 10 STARS! I put my review on the incorrect tour. Can you move my review and comments to this excursion? Francesco is fun, shares tons of history and insider information. In my worldwide travels and tours, this tour with Francesco was my favorite!!!
