Roberto was very knowledgeable on this subject matter and we really enjoyed the information that he provided and the sights he took us too.
Thank you for the review!
The guide Roberto was so knowledgeable and gave us such a wonderful tour. I definitely recommend doing this tour and request Roberto if you can. Learn so much about the churches and fountains. Loved it!
Thank you so much! I'm glad to hear you loved the tour. I really appreciate the high recommendation.
Roberto is an excellent guide with very deep knowledge of Rome and it's history, the people and the landmarks. On this tour we visited majestic fountains and learned so much about aqueducts and the importance of water to this civilization. We also had the opportunity to visit sights with "fallen angels" and learned the stories about their fall from grace. All in all we visited a combined 12 locations including Basilica of Saint Mary of the Angels and Martyrs, Fountain of Moses, Santa Maria della Vittoria (containing one of Bernini's most famous works ~ the sculpture “Ecstasy of Saint Teresa) and Fontana di Trevi just to name a few. This tour ranks amongst the best we have taken. Highly recommend to gain a deeper artistic and historical perspective of majestic fountains and fallen angels.
Thank you very much for your detailed and generous review. I’m delighted to hear that you enjoyed the depth of the tour and the themes explored. I appreciate your kind recommendation.
We were so fortunate to have Roberto as our guide. His knowledge and gift for story telling turned every visit into something truly wondrous. Simply put he has the ability to integrate faith, art and history seamlessly into his presentation leaving one in awe and wanting to learn more.

Roberto, our tour guide, was amazing. He took us to so many fascinating churches and showed us several fountains. He pointed out features in every place that most would never notice. We are so glad we did this tour and would recommend it, especially if you don’t mind walking quite a bit. It was wonderful.
Thank you for your kind words. I’m delighted you enjoyed the tour and the many details that bring Rome’s churches and fountains to life. I appreciate your recommendation. It was a pleasure to guide you.
My favourite thing I did in Rome. Roberto was a great tour guide and curated a wonderful experience. The best part is the places we went weren’t overrun with tourists (like most other places in Rome) and we go to take our time and enjoy the beauty of the fountains and churches. Roberto was so knowledgeable and apart from the great info he gave us he was able to answer our specific questions. I found the history he said really engaging and I had a wonderful day exploring and learning. My fav was the Baroque Church where we ended the tour. It was really stunning, fabulous and OTT (as were most of the churches)
Thank you so much! I’m truly glad to hear the tour was a highlight of your time in Rome. The end really is a stunning and unforgettable experience.
What a joy. After three weeks in Rome we finally met a tour guide with real depth, critical thought and a desire to take visitors beyond the usual suspects. Really a must for anyone who wants to dig deep into Rome. We are ready to join more of his tours.
Thank you! It means a great deal to hear that the tour stood out after three weeks in Rome. I’ll be delighted to welcome you on another tour soon!
I can’t recommend this tour. The guide asked to meet at the train station by the statue. That is a huge area. When I arrived there, I wrote to ask for specific directions. He didn’t reply, or look for me. So I started wandering around looking for him. He did not wear or show anything to identify himself or the tour. When I finally found him, he did not smile or welcome me. He did not smile once on the tour. He walked and talked too fast. He was hard to understand. He kept checking his watch. I was the only guest, and I dropped out of the tour after 1.5 hours.
Thank you for your review. We’d like to clarify a few points for future guests. First, our meeting point is a well-defined and visible location, clearly labeled on Viator with a map and a photo. Finding each other posed no issues, and in fact, we started the tour ten minutes early to accommodate your prompt arrival. You mention you were asked to meet by the statue, which provided specific directions, but then stated that you did not receive specific instructions—an apparent contradiction. From the outset, however, you expressed dissatisfaction toward the guide, including unkind remarks that would typically justify ending a tour immediately. Nevertheless, our guide continued professionally, as we strive to provide an excellent experience. This tour emphasizes a spiritual and historical theme, as noted in the title “Fallen Angels”, and includes visits to sacred sites. Respectfully, we also uphold dress codes for these locations, which includes removing hats as a sign of respect. These rules are not discretionary but are enforced by the venues themselves to preserve their cultural and spiritual significance. Your reluctance to comply with these requirements caused additional tension, which we hope future guests understand is necessary when visiting these sacred places. Additionally, the guide checks their watch periodically to ensure that we stay on track with the itinerary. This is crucial to maintain the perfect flow of the tour, align with opening times, and ensure we don’t miss any of the special events included in the experience. It’s worth noting that your review focuses on the guide rather than the quality of the tour or its content. Rather than mention any details of the explanations, insights, or highlights shared, you instead put a negative spin on the fact that you had a private tour—an exclusive experience rarely offered in Rome for this price. Given the disrespect shown to our guide, we ask that you refrain from booking with us in the future. We’re committed to providing an enjoyable and respectful experience for all, and we ask for the same respect in return. Warm regards
Roberto was great! He was VERY knowledgeable, friendly and professional! We had a great time! We thought that this was almost as good as seeing the Vatican! And a LOT less crowds! We highly recommend this! The Church of the Santi Apostli was what I went for and it didnt disappoint! REALLY beautiful and we got to see the tomb of James and Phillip! GREAT TOUR It is a lot of walking but worth it!
Thank you for the great review!
