We went to the meeting place at 20 minutes before the appointed time of 9 am. There was nobody there. A group of people were also waiting and couldn’t understand why nobody was there. Finally at 9:10 the person handling the self-guided tour showed up and handed out tickets with 9:30 printed on the paper. We clearly had the 9:00 time and not 9:30. It was an extremely hot day and we wanted as much of the cool time and less crowds that 9:00 would have given us. To arrive late and then not apologize and try to gaslight us by printing 9:30 on the voucher is unacceptable. Plus we were to get on the floor of the colosseum and a partial refund was promised. Not sure how that is going to work.
February turned out to be the perfect time to visit the Colosseum and Roman Forum. The weather was cool but pleasant, and there were no overwhelming crowds. Standing inside the Colosseum and imagining the events that once took place there was incredible. The Forum was even more impressive than I expected, with endless ruins and amazing views around every corner. I spent hours exploring and taking photos. Definitely worth booking in advance and allowing plenty of time to wander.
Catarina was an amazing guide. I have been to the Colosseum a few times and this was the best experience. She is very knowledgeable and would find shade when our grandson was hot and tired. I highly recommend doing the private tour if you are a family of 4-6 people.
A fantastic and incredible experience 👌🏻 the guide explained the history inside the Colosseum very clearly and interestingly; I am sure we will repeat it in the future 😉. We enjoyed this tour very much. I recommend it 100%, whether with family or friends, for unforgettable experiences.
Excellent tour! Everything was very well organized, and the guide was passionate and incredibly interesting. Highly recommended!
Flavia was our guide and was such an exceptional guides. So informative and made the tour so interesting while being very accommodating to all
Nice small tour group, Hilaria was very knowledgeable and skip the line into the Colosseum was worth it. However with a group of 7 and no ear pieces, we couldn’t hear a lot of it. She would walk in front, there was construction and lots of people, and we missed a lot of it. Also we still had to wait in line to get into the Forum, although it wasn’t as bad as the regular line.
Rainy morning. My audio channel got changed. Guide was not helpful my husband figured out how to fix it. Not his job.
This was a great informative tour of the history behind the Roman Forum and the colosseum. We enjoyed being able to walk through the forum and colosseum!
Complete disaster. They changed our tour by 2 hours. We were due to be on the tour at 8.30am and they changed to 10.30am. I explained we had another tour booked across the other side of Rome and would have to leave early to make it. No change offered. We arrived at 10.15 and were still in a queue to go in at 11.00. The Colosseum was the part we wanted to see. We were told it was not possible to go into this part until 12 noon. Wasted money and had to pay again the next day to go in independently. Told ticket times were subject to change, not possible to do anything - we saw nothing. Just wasted an hour in a queue for nothing.
