Following the new directives of the Colosseum, the entrance ticket is nominative and therefore it is mandatory to provide the FULL NAME OF ALL PARTICIPANTS. Take part in an innovative self-guided experience that combines the entrance ticket to the Colosseum with our exclusive Virtual Reality tour. Thanks to the special Oculus glasses, you will explore the Colosseum as it was in Roman times, with a unique animated and interactive reconstruction of the monument and its surroundings. An integrated multilingual audioguide will guide you step by step, making history come alive before your eyes. A real immersive and multisensory experience for the whole family: informative, educational and entertaining, suitable for all ages! For security reasons, no 3D devices are allowed inside the Colosseum. The Virtual Reality experience will therefore take place outside the monument, before the entrance with your tickets. We will meet at the Arch of Constantine,situated between the Colosseum and the Palatine Hill is the largest Roman triumphal arch in Rome, erected in 315 by the Roman Senate to commemorate the imperor Constantine.
Meet your assistant for the Virtual Reality experience and wear our innovative Oculus VR devices to see an immersive reconstruction of the Colosseum area in Roman times. Walk virtually in the Colosseum square as an ancient Roman citizen, and admire the beautiful monuments that were here in ancient times. Then, enter the Colosseum arena to assist to the gladiator fights and choose the destiny of the wounded gladiators as you were the Emperor! Last, explore the mysterious underground of the Colosseum, where gladiators are waiting for fight and slavers are working hard to make the show a success.
After the Virtual Reality experience, you will be added to a small group (max 30). After the entry procedures and the mandatory security checks, you will be free to explore the Colosseum.
After the visit to the Colosseum, you will visit the Palatine Hill/Roman Forum and you can explore both sites (which are connected) by yourself.

- MEETING POINT: Arch of Costantine, side of the Colosseum. You will meet our staff that will hold a big BLACK flag.
- Please provide the FULL NAMES of ALL travelers when booking. Failure to present a ticket with the correct name at the entrance may result in denied entry to the Colosseum and Roman Forum.
- The virtual reality experience has a specific departure time: if you arrive late for the meeting point, it will not be possible to join the group or reschedule, unless you pay for the activity again. As per no-show rules, you will not be entitled to a refund.
- For security reasons is not possible to bring inside the Colosseum any kind of 3D device: the virtual reality experience takes place outside from the monument and before entering.
- The Colosseum requires mandatory entry procedures (show children/under 18 to the staff, voucher exchange) and mandatory security check that must be carried out even. This could require to wait a little more before entering the monument, as this part cannot be skipped.
- The Colosseum’s capacity regulations (no more than 3000 people inside at the same time) may delay the tour departure. This could also influence the smooth running of the tour especially on national holidays, weekends and during high season.
- Children/under 18 must be accompanied by an adult and must carry passports or a valid identity document, because the Colosseum staff may ask to check them at the entrance.
- Please wear comfortable shoes and bring your own bottle of water (no glass bottles/no alcohol).
- The local operator is not responsible for any inconvenience caused by the closure of the Colosseum/Palatine Hill/Roman Forum due to strikes, events, bad weather, etc.
- It is strictly forbidden to enter the Colosseum and Palatine Hill/Roman Forum with luggage. Please be aware that there is no luggage storage.
- It is strictly forbidden to enter the Colosseum with knives and any kind of cutting object. Pay attention not to bring with you this kind of stuff.
- The tour operates regardless of the weather conditions.
- You are required to show up at the meeting point 15 MINUTES PRIOR to the arranged time of departure.
- Each traveler must present a valid passport or ID document that matches the name provided at the time of booking for successful entry to the Colosseum and Roman Forum.

A beautiful tour! We enjoyed it a lot, especially our son who is almost 7 years old. Our guide was very kind, patient with the child, and gave us useful tips for the rest of the visit. Highly recommended!

Great experience. Virtual tour provides a lot of info regarding the history of the places. Skip the line tickets don’t guarantee fast entrance though.

At the time of booking, I had purchased 3 skip-the-line tickets including a visit to the arena with audio guide for one adult and two children aged 11 and 14 (in theory I would have had to pay only € 18 for the adult) for a total of € 59.70. In fact, all I got was a receipt with a reservation number... without a ticket. The paper tickets (2 free and only one adult paying €18) were delivered to us by their contact person at the Arch of Constantine. No audio guide ... just the indication to install an app (we empty mobile phones), standard ticket without a visit to the arena and full of no traceability of what I had booked. Perhaps if they sent the tickets at the time of booking you would immediately realize the great fraud.

Comprendiamo che i cellulari scarichi possano aver limitato l'accesso all'audioguida, ma purtroppo si tratta di un aspetto non imputabile al nostro servizio. Infine, le chiediamo cortesemente di riconsiderare il linguaggio utilizzato nella sua recensione pubblica, in quanto espressioni come "grande imbroglio" non riflettono con accuratezza l’effettiva natura del servizio ricevuto e rischiano di compromettere ingiustamente il lavoro del nostro team. We scheduled skip the line for a designated time and when we arrived on time, the tour guides advised that we needed to wait 30 minutes before the tour would begin. It wouldn’t have been a problem but we had booked this tour within another Viator all day Rome tour. I even emailed the tour company that was listed (thru Viator) well before our trip to advise specifically about this and if it could be done. Sadly. We had to wait to enter the Col. then only had 20 minutes to try and see what we could. So basically I paid for our skip the line and couldnt use it. Plus they say no refunds!! When you give a firm time that the tour starts then you should stick to the firm time!! I feel this was not fair to us at all!!!

You sit on a wall with a glitchy VR set. It has some useful info and is inexpensive but not something I would do again . The guide was friendly and meeting up with him was easy
