Your expert guide will transport you back to the height of the Roman Empire when the Colosseum was constructed. During this time, Rome was ruled by emperors, the city was filled with riches from across the world, and the Colosseum served as a central venue for games and events featuring animals and people captured from Rome’s territories. Please note: the tour may start at the Colosseum or the Roman Forum/Palatine Hill, depending on ticket availability.
Next, you’ll climb Palatine Hill, the legendary site where Rome was founded. The hill is an important archaeological site, with settlements from the Iron Age through the Imperial period. See landmarks such as the Hut of Romulus, Rome’s legendary founder, and the Imperial Palace, where emperors and their families lived and conducted political and administrative affairs.
The final stop is the Roman Forum, the heart of ancient Rome. This area was once a bustling center of markets, law courts, temples, and civic life. It was here that Julius Caesar was cremated, two emperors were killed in 69 AD, and Cicero delivered speeches that influenced Western culture for centuries.

The Colosseum is beautiful! The tour operator was professional, however, did not speak very good English. Even in December and early morning timing, the place was still full and we can imagine how bad it could get in the peak summer months. We were with younger kids and felt a little rushed through the entire tour. Would have appreciated some time to take pictures and admire the displays in the small museum inside the Colosseum.
Celene was amazing and so engaging!! The kids (14 and 11) were totally captivated. She has a large group and engaged with all of us. She was so knowledgeable. Thank you for an amazing time!! Highly recommend booking!!!

We were supposed to be able to go into the arena and we didn’t get to. The guide seemed rushed even though we started earlier than booked. We didn’t have time to look at the museum exhibits. But mostly, I am disappointed that the advertised ability to walk where the gladiators walked didn’t happen. I complained and asked for a refund, I was ignored and dismissed without explanation. I expected better.
