Religious Tour to Fátima and Aljustrel
Description
Private tour. The host, driver will present the entire history and development of urbanization and its influence on the mystery of Fátima. During the visit, it will be possible to see in detail the entire structure and places of interest in the Sanctuary. The village of Aljustrel presents the point of origin of this story, we will see the houses and the place where the 3 shepherd children (Lucia, Francisco and Jacinta) lived, the main events and places of interest. To conclude, we will visit Gruta da Coin, its mystical and beautiful rock formation, which carries legends and natural beauty.

Prior to our travels we watched tons of videos about all the places we were going to visit in Portugal; all with the intent of saving money and checking everything out on our own. Due to some transportation timing issues, our trip to Fatima was best served by hiring a tour guide. So, we sucked it up and paid to have Outing Portugal take us on our trip. Best decision ever. We were picked up from our hotel by Diogo in a nice spacious and comfortable vehicle (there were 4 of us). Diogo was very welcoming and friendly. He is super knowledgeable, and we learned a lot even during the car ride to Fatima. During the tour, we visited places that we would have missed if we went on our own. Even at our destinations, Diogo was able to point things out and give very interesting historical stories about things as small as a rock formation that we would have totally walked past and not paid any attention to by ourselves. We had such an awesome experience with Diogo that, right after our Fatima tour, we booked tours to Porto and Sintra(Cintra) with him. We had great tours to those places, as well. Full of history and cool stories and interesting facts about things we would have overlooked. Plus, he knows people in every place, so there was the added convenience of not having to figure out where to eat or wait in line for lots of things. In summary, do yourselves a favor...do a tour with Outing Portugal and get the most out of your visit.

We went to Fatima and Aljustrel. Diogo is a very friendly guide, and very attentive, and with vast knowledge Historic, explained how happened the appearance of Our Lady of Fatima to the shepherds!!! It took us to see the house (Francisco, Jacinta and Lucía), I was stunned by this tour and the professionalism of Diogo 😄😄😄😄 I advise any Cover who needs a guide to contact this great professional!!!! Their private tours is simply the best. It is truly a luxury experience. Our family loved the experience we booked 3 tours. The guide is extremely knowledgeable, friendly and it feels like you are visiting the sites as a Vip person. Our guide made sure to introduce us to the surviving family member of one of the shepherds still living in the town of aljustrel. Our guide knows the best spots to visit, caters to our time and the hours pass by so quickly when we are visiting and having fun. My wife and I took two tours with Outing Portugal with Diogo as our guide. I cannot give a higher recommendation to this company and Diogo. He was not just a local showing you the sites he has studied the history in detail and probably should be a history professor in some college. He also gave us VIP treatment with his knowledge of off the beaten path restaurants and shops and he knows the owner's personally, and we had an excellent time. Should we return to Portugal we will absolutely ask for Diogo specifically, and he also speaks five languages fluently! Thank you Outing Portugal, and thank you Diogo!

We made an amazing trip with the Outing! We made a day trip to Óbidos and Fatima and were delighted with the richness of details and care we received from Diogo. It was a journey rich in knowledge. I was with my parents and uncles who are elderly and Diogo had all the care and affection to take care of them respecting time and limitations. We recommend 100%!

Our tour guide, Diogo was fantastic! He was very knowledgeable and flexible. He customized the tour to meet our needs and show us all the things at Fátima that we’re important to us. Diogo knew the history and was great at explaining it in a way that was easy to understand. We had a wonderful day!!

We spent the day with Diogo who has such a wealth of knowledge of the history of the sites as well as the current culture. Fatima was inspiring since it is such an important part of the Catholic Church. Nazare was a beautiful beach town. Obidos medieval history and castle was fascinating. Diogo gave us a little time on our own to explore each location. I highly recommend taking any tour he leads. We came away not only seeing these beautiful sites but fully appreciating the history.
