Johnny was a very good guide. He was a great communicator and very patient. He has the best knowledge of animals & plants that we encountered on all of our other tours. We loved the trip, and especially loved the swim in the blue river. That setting was beautiful. Thank you for a very memorable day.
Wonderful family experience at the Tenorio National Park with my family (parents and kids in their 20’s). Roy picked us up at our hotel. We were joined by 3 others in a comfortable van. Roy led us through park. He is an expert in frogs and snakes but has a wide range of knowledge of the animals and fauna. He took wonderful photos which were shared at the end of the day. The waterfall was beautiful although the access was somewhat limited due to recent damage to the path. We enjoyed a simple lunch of chicken, rice beans, salad and coffee. My favorite part of the trip was spending the day with Roy. His kindness and willingness to share his knowledge of his beautiful country.
Mario was a great tour guide. Very informative and knowledgeable. Took the time to answer questions and show us the wildlife.
Wonderful trip to Rio Celeste! Mario our guide was great, he took the time for pictures and to find some wildlife through the entire trip.
What an incredible trip! Mario was the best guide! He stopped on the drive to and from the national park to point out wildlife (including sloths and toucans!). He was excellent during our very rainy visit to the Tenorio Park by pointing out more wildlife, sharing humorous anecdotes, and waiting when some of our group needed a break. The river was not quite as blue as we’d hoped due to the rain and the cloudy weather, but it was unforgettable. We saw snakes, a baby sloth climbing up a tree, and other cool wildlife and plants. This was an incredible trip and Mario made it even better!
Roy Soto is an amazing guide. Picked us up at our Airbnb and drove us to magnificent Rio Celeste. We hiked 5 miles and throughout our hike, he had a keen eye for spotting, photographing and sharing info about wildlife. Saw Qati, eyelash viper, green and black poison dart frog, and ended the day with a stop at a property where we could swim in the river and jump in the water from a rope swing. There were also Howler Monkeys in the trees! Contact Roy at +50686047977
The Rio Celeste and waterfall (the reason we came) were beautiful and amazing, but we were surprised at how many animals we saw along the way - lots of vipers, a coral snake, green snakes, basilisks, various birds including a turkey, caymans, and a pair of toucans feeding each other that our guide Erick helped my wife get on close-up video! Erick was a great guide, very courteous but also funny, and, in addition to being a great animal spotter, he shared a lot of great info about the forest and the river. The hike was a bit challenging in places, but a good one. Lunch was great as was taking a swim after. Highly recommend.
Lovely hiking tour and more with the guide Roy who with kindness and excellent attention and explanation about his own visit to the celestial river area made this tour exceptional. Thank you for the photos that are the plus of the tour. The Mexicans Luis, Carlos, Dennis and Augusto are delighted with the service and service. Congratulations.
Very well organised, very nice hike, lunch was tasty and the dip in the water after was lovely. We had a really great time
We had an incredible time today with our guide Roy! He shared so much amazing information on our Río Celeste and waterfall hike that we never would've otherwise had. He was knowledgeable, kind, patient, respectful and very fun. We would return again and definitely would jump at the opportunity to go on a other tour with Roy! He is a gem!
