Tour Options
Itinerary
The tour starts with a hotel pickup followed by a 30-minute drive to the 1968 Arenal Volcano Park, where you will start your activity, a 2.30 hour hike to the base of Arenal Volcano. The hike is fairly easy and most of it is over flat ground. The goal is to arrive at a Dry lava field from 1968 eruption (this part of the trail is rocky), see it, talk about it and give you all the history about the Arenal Volcano.
La Fortuna Waterfall is an amazing natural spot, about 70-75 meters tall. To get to the bottom, you'll need to go down and then climb back up around 500 steps, but it’s totally worth it. There are safe spots where you can swim and enjoy the fresh water. This is the perfect mix of adventure and tropical beauty in Costa Rica.
You'll spend about 2.5 hours walking through the rainforest, crossing 6 hanging bridges and 10 regular ones over a 3.2-km trail at Mistico Hanging Bridges. Along the way, you’ll get awesome panoramic views of the volcano and the whole ecosystem surrounding the forest. Just remember, this is a tropical forest, so rain is definitely a possibility—so bring something waterproof!

Jose/Chino was amazing with his knowledge and pictures! Spectacular hike! I highly recommend Chino as a tour guide!
Amazing way to see the beauty of La Fortuna. Our guide Catalina made everything fun, enjoyable, and stress free! She was so knowledgeable about the area, spotted wildlife for us, and went above and beyond to make sure we all were having a great experience. Highly recommend this tour!
We really enjoyed every aspect of the trip
Awesome experience! So much fun hiking, going to beautiful waterfall, delicious lunch snd walking the hanging bridges! We only had one day in arenal and this was well worth it
A must do! Chino was our tour guide and he was absolutely amazing! He pointed out so many things that we would have never seen or known if we would have gone on our own. One of our favorite experiences yet!
An amazing experience with Chino hey, text ecotourism to the next level. Very experienced and nicely organized. Professional and great.
The best Guided Tour i have taken! Pablo was the Super Great and have a lot of knowledge of the fauna. 100% recommend!!
Ericka was OUTSTANDING!!! We went on so many awesome adventures including the Arenal Volcano hike, La Fortuna Waterfall, and Mystico hanging bridges. We saw every critter you can think of: Toucan, Sloth, Monkeys, EyeLash Viper, Fer De Lance, Coatis, Wild Pig, Dart Frogs, and even four little Armadillos. Highly recommend and the lunch was outstanding!!
The tour was great. It wasn't rushed at all even though we did alot. The tour guide spoke English very well.
We really enjoyed our tour experience with Pablo. He was friendly and very knowledgeable about all of the spots we visited. The tour is probably best for people with a moderate fitness level, especially for the hanging bridges park- it is quite a hilly walk. My 65+ mother was glad she had hiking poles with her. But everything was absolutely beautiful! And it was really nice to be picked up at our hotel and be driven to the various locations. And the lunch was absolutely delicious- a typical Costa Rican meal. We are glad we went on this tour!
