This was one of my favorite things we did all trip! Alberto was an incredible guide who taught us a lot and made the experience an absolute delight. I cannot recommend enough!
Our guide was enthusiastic and highly informative. He provided hands on demonstrations. I highly recommend.
Very enjoyable tour with a knowledgeable guide. This is not a large plantation of coffee or coco, but a smaller representation of one (still good size). I enjoyed the coffee tasting, and have a much better understanding on the bean, processing, and grinding. Chocolate was also a great process - from the pod to final product, with taste tests off different chocolate types. Shuttle pick-up and drop-off were right on time. Overall the tour was a bit expensive for the duration, but I am glad I went.
Our guide David was great. Very informative and knowledgeable. It was interesting to learn about cacao and coffee growth and production. The tasting were very good!
This is a wonderful guided coffee and chocolate tour and tasting. David was our friendly and knowledgeable tour guide. The coffee and chocolate were delicious and they had a selection in their shop which made for great souvenirs. The honey coffee is a stand out flavor!
Our tour guide Danny was awesome! He was very informative and funny! We were able to see and learn of all the different steps of how coffee and chocolate is created. 10/10 recommend, way to go Danny as well!
This tour was a real eye-opener on how chocolate and coffee are made and how we've settled for inferior options back home in the U.S. Once you taste authentic coffee and chocolate, nothing else will ever taste the same!
Everyone should do this tour! It was so fun, engaging, and interesting and we were able to learn so much!
We are always hesitant to book tours — worried we won’t get our money’s worth. This tour exceeded our expectations! It kept our attention and the 2.5 hours flew by. The pacing is excellent with walking between different stations. We never felt rushed. There was always an extra offering to try things (another scoop, pour, or taste of whatever we were trying) — even with a group of 14. We also appreciated that our kids (4 & 5 years old) were free — as other tours charge $50 for a 5 year old. They felt special and acknowledged by getting to participate in some of the demonstrations. Our guide was wonderful. Highly recommend. Tip for families of little ones: bring a new juice/drink for your kids to try during the coffee tastings.
Exceptional tour. Pablo, our tour guide was excellent. We not only learned the processes involved in making coffee and chocolate, we participated in the grinding, and tasting of numerous chocolate and coffee varieties -- which were delicious!
