Visit one of the most iconic palaces in Sintra, the Monserrate Palace. This 19th century building, restored from existing ruins by an English merchant by the name of Francis Cook, is presently a sublime monument showing clear oriental and medieval influences. It appears briefly in the film "The Promise" released in 2017. This palace also boasts one of the most beautiful and complete botanical gardens in Portugal. And of course we can’t leave without visiting the charming town of Cascais. This former fishing village used to be a royal getaway. We had an extraordinary day with José, he adapted the schedule to meet our needs. This incredible human being shared with us their vast knowledge of the history of the region, Portugal, and the world! They are an incredible guide! It was perfect! Thank you for everything! ❤️
José was the best tour guide ever! He really cares about the experience we get and ensures you get to do everything you want to. He is also knowledgeable about the history and best photo spots.
José made the entire tour unforgettable! We made it to all the attractions on time and saw everything we wanted to see in 8hrs without feeling rushed. He knows all the history and the best spots in Sintra, Regelaria, Monserrate and Pena Palace. This was the absolute best tour I’ve ever had all because of José. 100/10
Where do I start? Our guide Jose was perhaps one of the most intelligent people that I have ever met. As an individual who has traveled all around the world I pride myself on education to include both Teaching and learning. José was smart, professional, knowledgeable, and most of all Kind. As an academic Jose was open to all discussions and providing his input in a well throughout and logical manner. His Knowledge of world history is second to none and his love of Portugal was obvious in his discussions of all the sites and locations we visited. I ended the day much smarter and informed on Portugal than when I woke up. My wife and I absolutely enjoyed our day together with Jose to include a wonderful seaside Lunch. This tour is an absolute must do when in Lisbon and make sure you ask for my friend Jose, you won't be sorry.
My daughter and myself have been having a fun time exploring Portugal, and our experience with José was amazing! We learned so much about the history of Portugal, wine tasting, Sintra and gorgeous palaces. A personalized experience- I highly recommend it!
Jose was wonderful. He gave us all the time in the world and he showed us everything he could. We had individual attention. He was very flexible in adjusting to our needs and wants. This is the guide to go with. There is no better.
The most amazing Palace! Her different from other Palaces! Can’t wait to see more…………………………. .. ……. Go and see, but keep it secret
Jose is amazing! He made our day full of fun, geat information and history! His recommendation for lunch was an amazing restaurant with delicious fish, side dishes and dessert! We will be back Lisbon and will want to tour with him again!
We had an amazing day with a local experience and not just to do list of attractions. Worth doing with the right guide!
This really is not a tour but more a of a driver taking you place to place. Our driver was excellent and tried to point out the sights of interest but we thought this was more of a tour not just driving from point A to B.
Dear Kathi1955, Thank you for taking the time to review your tour with us. We truly appreciate all the constructive comments as they make us improve and that is always our goal. Let me kindly inform you that in all our websites we always state that it is a tour with a driver and not a guide. We do have tours with professional guides but in general, the tours include drivers. Please know that these are very knowledgeable drivers and the feedback is very positive as they are very friendly and they know the places very well. Nevertheless, we hope your visit was still good and we would love to welcome you again. In the meantime we wish you happy travels! Kindest regards, Filipa Amorim
