Unfortunately we had a...

Unfortunately we had a negative experience. Our tour guide did not have a strong capacity of English and therefore she was hard to understand. In addition, due to her lack of fluency, her art explanations were very basic, obvious in view and not that of an art historian. Also, 2 of our stops were closed. The tour essentially ended 90 minutes into our 3 hour walk. She pivoted us to grab a slice of pizza and explorie a neighborhood in Rome. Although this waa pleasant, It was not the tour that I paid for. Her demeanor was also confusing and seemed almost sarcastic She laughed after most sentences and I couldn't tell if she was annoyed or just rude. Maybe this was a language barrier. The cost of this tour was very high and not worth the money. I am requesting a refund.

"Dear Tapleig, We are sorry to hear that you did not like your time with your private guide. The tour started at exactly 9 AM at Piazza di Spagna, then we went to Sant'Andrea delle Fratte to see Bernini's angels. After that, you passed by Trevi, then to Piazza Colonna, and finally reached Sant'Ignazio, which was closed unexpectedly (this can happen with churches). From there, you visited Santa Maria sopra Minerva, then passed by Piazza Sant'Eustachio where you were shown Borromini's dome of Sant'Ivo. You went to Sant'Agostino and from there to Piazza Navona. After that, you crossed over and went to Palazzo Spada, where the guide tried to show you Borromini's perspective, which wasn't on the schedule but was a nice option to replace the closed church. Since it required a ticket, you left. The guide took you also to see the remains of the Theatre of Pompey and the ghetto to see the fountain with the turtles by Bernini (which was under restoration, but you could see a bit of it), again not on the schedule but it is a lovely work by Bernini, then finished at 12 PM. While closings can happen, your guide did her best to show you the masterpieces of Bernini, Caravaggio and Michelangelo, going also beyond the basic supposed schedule, trying always to be nice with you.

A delightful walk and learn experience

Anna was very knowledgeable and engaging, giving our small group a unique perspective on the artists, their art, and their times. When sites were closed, she was able to pivot and bring us to other locations they we found very interesting.

Breathtaking Adventure

This was indeed one of the best tours we have been on while visiting Rome. Our guide, Chiara, was absolutely amazing. She is extremely knowledgeable, patience, and has a truly love for the artists that shines as she explains the various works. She was a delight and we highly recommend her.
