Our Rome in two days tour takes you to all must-see highlights of Rome and still gives you the opportunity to explore the city on your own in the evening after the tour. The first day, you will explore Ancient Rome & the Old City Centre. After visiting iconic sites like the Pantheon, Trevi Fountain and Piazza Navona in Rome’s historic centre, day two sees us head across town to the Vatican City. Here we’ll come face-to-face with Michelangelo’s iconic Sistine Chapel, before exploring vast St. Peter’s basilica - heart of the Catholic faith. Our day ends at majestic Castel Sant’Angelo, whose views over Rome are the best in the city. Hitting both the highlights and off-the-beaten-path gems, this is the perfect introduction to the Eternal City!

- Please note that the Vatican Museums provide free entrance for visitors who are (according to the requirements stated by the Vatican City) at least 74% disabled by presenting the appropriate certification and, if one needs assistance by another person, that person also receives a free entrance. Please inform us when you are booking if you fit into these requirements and we will remove the pricing of the entry tickets from the price of the tour.
- As this is a walking tour with steps and staircases, comfortable walking shoes and a bottle of water are strongly recommended.
- Please advise if any travelers have mobility concerns so that we can best accommodate you.
- If reservations at the Pantheon are not possible for weekends or if the lines are too long, the guide will give you the explanation from the outside to ensure all other stops on the tour are not missed.
- Each traveler must present a valid passport or ID document that matches the name provided at the time of booking for successful entry to the Colosseum and Roman Forum.
- Due to the Jubilee, some monuments may be under restoration. Please pay attention to any messages we may send regarding potential changes.

We booked the 2 day tour and it was fabulous! We had two great guides Barbara took us to the Vatican and Enrica who took us through ancient Rome. Both of our guides were very knowledgeable and really engaged our teenage boys too. Highly, highly recommend!

Extremely knowledgeable tour guides (Inga and Emma). Able to hit all the highlights and must see sights in Rome. Disappointed that we were unable to go inside the Colosseum, but was otherwise a fantastic 2 day private tour.

I am someone who is very well read in ancient history. I requested a "Expert" guides because I really wanted a deep understanding of all of the sites. I also asked them to rearrange my trip so that I could include the catacombs and St Clemente. I had Eugenia for Day 1 and Maria for Day 2. Both are formally trained in Art history and Anthropology. Both had well over 20 years of experience as a guide. Both were truly amazing! If you think you like to get the details and an immersive historical experience. You NEED to book this tour. I have done many many tours with guides and these two BY FAR were the most educated I have ever had!!

My husband and I decided with only two days in Rome, it was best to book a 2 day tour. The first day we were so delighted with the wonderful local Enrica. She showed us her childhood playground of the Forum. Then onto the Colosseum, Castel Sant’Angelo, the Ghetto and the beautiful neighborhood of Trastevere. We walked about seven miles and enjoyed every minute of it! On the second day with the extremely knowledgeable John, we toured the Vatican museums, St. Peter’s Basilica, Sistine Chapel. We walked the Parione neighborhood and enjoyed walking through neighborhoods and learning about ancient Rome’s influence to modern times. We completed the tour with a visit to the Trevi Fountain and the Pantheon. Thank you Enrica and John! Both excelled as tour guides!

30 thousand footsteps and 20 kilometers walked and heads full with new knowledge. Thomas brought the forum and coliseum, Trevi Fountain, and more to life in vivid detail. John guided us expertly through the corridors of the Vatican, pointing out the most important works amongst the extensive and bewildering collections. They cleverly refer to facts from each others tours, bringing the whole experience together. Hadrian and Constantine will be abiding memories. This trip isn't a cheap option and certainly requires some physical and mental stamina though both Thomas and John do everything possible to move at the clients' pace. I would do this trip again tomorrow!
