I am originally from Moscow and have been living in New York for the past 16 years. My best friend still lives in Moscow, so we choose Istanbul as our meeting point since it doesn’t require complicated visas. My husband’s colleague recommended Sefa Ozdemir to us, and after our tours with him, I can confidently say he is the best guide I have ever had. Sefa speaks Russian fluently, like a native speaker, and he is always punctual, attentive, and truly passionate about his work. We toured Topkapi Palace with him in February 2025 and Dolmabahce Palace in November 2025, and both tours were among the most interesting and informative experiences I’ve ever had. Even though I travel a lot for work (I work for the United Nations), the tours with Sefa were truly unique. He focuses on the essential details, explains everything clearly, and answers all questions. Each tour lasted about 2.5 hours, and that was more than enough to get a rich and memorable experience. I am already looking forward to my next trip to Istanbul so I can book another tour with Sefa. Highly recommended – he is truly the best guide.
