Incredible! April made the experience comfortable and enjoyable, definitely recommend
Chef Andrea was funny, kind, and informative. Only four of us in the class that day and a great experience. My favorite cooking class yet.
Wow! So much fun at this, my first cooking class ever. Chef Andrea was an excellent teacher and shared the recipes of what we cooked via email. That allowed us to just have fun in the kitchen cooking with friends. I told my wife that Cooking in Rome with Chef Andrea is now on the “MUST DO” list whenever in Rome. Gotta get more recipes!!! Thank you Chef Andrea for such a wonderful experience!!
Outstanding family oriented REAL ROMA experience, great food and new knowledge for everyone. Chef Andrew real deal!
My wife and I took this cooking class based on the reviews we found on this site. It met our high expectations and then some. Located on a quiet street in Trastevere Chef Andre welcomed us in along with an extended family. After discussing Italian cooking philosophy we moved into his kitchen, which accommodated all 8 of us. With his clear instruction we prepped our dishes; a pasta dish, zeppole, chicken cacciatore, and tiramisu. All dishes were prepared from scratch with local fresh ingredients. The Chef had us all working as a team and made the process fun while also providing insightful hints and techniques on the process of cooking the food. We then sat down and ate the food we had prepared, which was fabulous, paired with delicious wines. We all had a very pleasant conversation over our dinner. Then the Chef and his wife who had waited upon us, joined us. The four hours flew by and recipes were later sent to us. I cannot recommend this course enough.
Another great cooking class with Chef Andrea Consoli! Small class and all the courses were excellent! He explains every step of the recipes. You become a family in just a few hours with the other guests. Everyone shares making in making the courses which are paired with wine. Always an amazing time!
This experience exceeded my high expectations! My sister said it best in her thank you to Chef Andrea so I won't re-invent the wheel. Here is her thank you note: "Thank you so much for taking time to send the recipes and for giving us an amazing night that we will all remember forever! We were all so excited to cook together, but your class was an experience that exceeded all of our expectations. Everything — the lovely dining space, the incredible organization/coordination, exceptional cooking advice/knowledge, beautiful fresh ingredients, and delicious recipes — was just perfect. Above all, the charming way in which you interacted with all of us and got us all involved and exposed to your beautiful Italian culture was so special that words really cannot describe this. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts. We will always remember this and you!"
Fantastic experience! Learnt so much from simplicity, plus we ate so much food. Chef Andrea was heaps of fun. We had multiple people in our group who were coming back for the 2nd and 5th time! Support local. Highly recommend.
We took a class online with Chef Andrea during COVID and were thrilled with the opportunity to meet Chef Andrea in person and learn about Roman cuisine while preparing a delicious four course meal with wine pairings. Chef Andrea is gracious and informative providing us with lots of helpful tips, particularly around pairing pasta with different sauces. Each course was amazing and included an appetizer of fried pizza dough, marinated tomatoes, greens and stracciatella, homemade pasta amatriciana, lemon meatballs with fresh vegetables and an apple and sour cherry crumble. Our family of six had varying levels of cooking experience including 3 teenagers and my elderly father. All of us thought the cooking class was a highlight of our Italy trip. We were paired with another group of two for a total of 8 people in the class and we had a great time. Book early, you won’t regret it!
I LOVED Cooking Classes in Rome with Chef Andrea. It was my favorite part of a trip to Rome I took in 2012, and again in 2025 Chef Andrea beats all. He is fun to cook with, interesting to learn from, and his food is unbelievably good. He is calm in the midst of a lot of people cooking and humbly served us the food when we were done cooking. He had us cook 7 different recipes (and shares them all with you so you can cook them when you are home). If you have teens, don’t be afraid. Chef Andrea did great with my 3 teens (and non-cooking husband)! Cooking Classes in Rome is truly one - now two - of the best experiences of my life!
