Itinerary
You will see the largest arena of the ancient period, designed for chariot races, accommodating 250,000 spectators, located on the slopes of the two Roman hills - Palantine and Aventine, as well as the imperial palace on Palatine Hill, from which the emperor himself watched the race. The chariot races had not only the function of entertainment, but also had an important aspect of socialization and propaganda of power. This is why the horse-racing arenas were much larger than the amphitheaters.
It is the favorite place of all Romans and many visitors to the city, where everyone always wants to return. From the Orange Garden you will see the most beautiful panorama of the city, a beautiful perspective view of the dome of St. Peter's Cathedral, framed on both sides by Roman pines. Many Romans come exactly to this place to meet the sunset, take their loved ones on dates, hold wedding photo sessions.
After Pope Paul V restored the ruined ancient Roman aqueduct he wanted to build a large fountain in his honor, which for 100 years was the largest fountain in Rome. We will go to the Janiculum hill and see not only this fountain, but also one of the most beautiful Roman views.
My main goal is to show you Rome from different angles, so we will go on this day also in the Roman Art Nouveau area, created in the early 20th century, named after the creator of this area - Coppede. In this place you find yourself in a fairy tale, in the midst of stunning castles completely different from each other, but created by the imagination of one man - Luigi Coppede.
We will visit the largest baths in ancient Rome, the Thermae of Diocletian, built in the 3rd century AD, with a capacity of 15,000 visitors. After the fall of the Empire, the baths were well preserved and in the 16th century Michelangelo created one of the largest churches inside the baths.
The Castel Sant'Angelo is an amazing example of Roman architecture in dynamics. It was originally the mausoleum of the Roman Emperor Hadrian and his family, then part of the Roman fortress wall, after the prison and the residence of the pope.
Situated in the portico of Santa Maria in Cosmedin Church, the Mouth of Truth (Bocca della Veritá) is a worldwide-famous enormous marble mask said to bite the hand of those who lied.

Alex was an expert on architectural design we saw amazing off the beat and path buildings and sites- however I was expecting snacks and beverages (wine) which was advertised as part of the tour and not provided. To be fair I had a bottle of water. I also thought compared to other tours it was more expensive. He is a very good tour advisor and his vehicle was fun to drive around in but for those in the back a bit cramped.
Thank you so much! I enjoyed what I saw in Rome and will gladly book a tour on my next visit. Beautiful city of Rome, with incredible history and views. Especially impressed with the view from the Janiculum Hill, the Colosseum, and the Orange Garden. The city seems even more beautiful in a convertible! I recommend it to everyone!
I've always wanted to ride in a convertible, but to do it in Rome is a double thrill! I advise everyone to feel it for themselves! My thanks to my guide Pauline for such an incredible experience that will be remembered for a lifetime!
Seeing Rome in a convertible is the best thing ever! Italian Music, wind in your hair, and beautiful views. It's the best time of the year to visit the city, because it's not so hot yet! Thank you so much. The guide Pauline is wonderful!
A one-day tour around Rome in a convertible was an amazing experience. The first thing that catches the eye is the beauty of the city. Every corner of Rome is steeped in history and culture. It's worth noting that riding through the narrow streets of Rome in a convertible is something special, especially when the wind is playing in your hair and there are so many beautiful sights around. The guide was excellent, his stories and explanations helped to better understand the city, feel its atmosphere and feel like a part of its life, even for such a short period of time. In general, I would recommend this tour to anyone who has at least one day in Rome. At the same time, if there is time, I would advise staying for a few days to fully enjoy the city. But even in one day, you can get a lot of unforgettable impressions.
To be honest, I am absolutely delighted with this tour in a convertible. You see the city differently than on any other car. Wind in your hair, music, a wonderful guide who in his manner of presentation made the tour as cool as possible, incredible Rome. Thanks! I advise everyone! Now I want my own convertible🫶🏼
If you ever come up with the idea to visit Rome, be sure to do it in a convertible! This is truly an unforgettable experience. All the ancient ruins, beautiful monuments, and narrow streets of the city look even better when you drive past them under the open sky. The finale of the tour was prosecco with a chic view of the city. We recommend.
