Private Algarve from Lisbon: Carvoeiro, Benagil caves and Lagos

My mom and I booked a tour from Lisbon to Algarve with David and had the best, fun, safest time from the moment we met David! My mom was initially worried she would get sea sick on the boat trip but with David’s assurance she had the best time attending! From the moment my mother and I met David, we knew we would be in for a FUN and safe day! He is kind, personable, knowledgeable, trustworthy, and all around great travel expert. He was on time, hospitable, patient, and very enthusiastic to ensure we had a memorable experience. Hours flew by as he drove from Lisbon to Algarve. He ensured we arrived safely to the boat tour where we toured the most famous beaches, cliffs and caves. We also went to a local lunch spot and had the most amazing seabass, make sure you ask him about this. My mother and I booked the trip to Portugal for some escapism and David’s tour was filled with fun, laughter, and amazing conversations! 10 out of 10 would recommend!!! Thank you David :))

David is an excellent and very responsive communicator, highly knowledgeable about history and culture, had great tips and recommendations, and is a generous person. Although a Portugal and Lisbon native, his deep curiosity about other countries and cultures meant he was able to hold interesting conversations and connect things for us. He is fluent in English (I thought he was an American!). He took us to a restaurant that served authentic Portuguese food (several courses) that was quite inexpensive. We had a great time with David and highly recommend him.

We had an incredible tour of the The Algarve. David was simply the best - always making sure we had what we needed. We felt as though we were in the best hands possible exploring so many areas. We took the boat ride, and David arranged that for us. Then we went to all of his favorite spots for food and sightseeing. We took tons of great photos with David pointing out the best spots for them. We saw so much beauty that day and we feel we got the very best experience possible! Our 2nd tour was to Sintra. Again, we had the best day with David leading the way. We loved every minute of this tour and learned so much history from David (on both tours!). Do not hesitate to book any tours with David's company. He is an amazing human being, and he cares about Portugal deeply. We learned and saw so much in the 2 days we spent together. We cannot recommend David enough.

Our experience in and around Algarve was exceptional! We considered just renting a car and going but now after having the pleasure of experiencing a tour with David, I know we would not have seen as much, nor would we have been able to relax and enjoy it. He is Portuguese with a wealth of knowledge of the areas he takes you to and loves his country. He speaks several languages fluently and will create a tour that fits your travel style. We enjoyed the sites, the food and conversations immensely! We felt like we got to see and learn about the area in the way it should be seen. There is so much value in his tours that we added another half day tour up north! His vehicle is spotless and his driving makes you feel safe. David even had plenty of water and local snacks for us! The only negative is that we are now going to have to come back for more because we just got home last night and miss it already! Thanks David for the special memories!

Overall a great experience! The Argaves are breathtaking! The boat ride was very enjoyable! Lunch place recommended by David was delicious!

Review of Private Algarve Tour From Lisbon to Benagil, Lagos and Carvoeiro Reviewed yesterday We recently took a 9-day trip to Portugal with a group of friends after a wedding in Sintra, and it was truly unforgettable — all thanks to our amazing tour guides, David and Daniel! Both of them were incredibly knowledgeable, friendly, and helpful throughout the trip. They knew exactly where to take us, and because of their excellent planning and guidance, we felt like we truly saw all of Portugal! We began our tour with a visit to the stunning Pena Palace in Sintra. On the way to Porto, we made scenic stops in the charming towns of Óbidos and Nazaré. In Porto, highlights included the Douro Valley, a suspension bridge, and a relaxing canal boat ride — all absolutely breathtaking. As we made our way to Lisbon, we stopped at the historic University of Coimbra and the grand church in Fátima. One of the most memorable parts of the trip was visiting the spectacular Benagil Caves in the Algarve — a must-see! David and Daniel went above and beyond to make sure we were comfortable and happy. They were patient, flexible, and even took us to our favorite restaurants. We never felt rushed, and they made sure we had time to enjoy every place we visited. By the end of the trip, they felt like part of our friend group. If you’re planning a trip to Portugal, I highly recommend touring with David and Daniel. You won’t be disappointed!

David and Daniel are great people - we were a group of 12 visiting Portugal. They took us on a seven day tour of various attractions in Porto and Lisbon including transfers from Sintra to Porto and subsequently Porto to Lisbon. We felt like family on the tour. We had WiFi in the tour vans. The personalized tour helped us to do more sightseeing. David and Daniel were excellant tour guides and we learnt a lot about history of Portugal.
