Itinerary
The classy and exclusive boulevard of Lisbon's city centre
The neuralgic centre of Lisbon, reborn after the earthquake of 1755 offers a fantastic original Portuguese cobbling featuring a wavy pattern, combining black and white stones. It's the perfect place to start understanding the history of this lovely city!
An astonishing early XX century elevator, that not only is a piece of work seen from its outside as it provides one of the most beautiful views over the city from its top.
An iconic noble immense square that will take you back in time. By the river, imagine all that happened here throught the history: the arrivals' pier, the royal palace and much more!
This is the magnificient main pedestrian street of Lisbon's downtown area, crowned by the splendurous triumphal arch that leads to the riverside.
Serenity and romanticism blended with one of the finest views over the river in Lisbon. Breathtaking might be the best word to describe it but I'd risk saying it's a bit more than that.
Where Lisbon is still hidden in its past. This charming old neighbourhood layed between the blue water of River Tagus and the castle, is the oldest in the city: a maze of narrow cobbled streets crowned by one of my favourite viewpoints up the hill.

I have known Marta for over 20 years. She is an amazing guide, very professional and friendly. I was a frequent guest in Portugal over past years. Each time i've visted Marta not only showed me the most beautiful places in her country but al,so she perfectly organised tourist tours. Myself, I am a tour guide too. Marta is helping me with my groups from Poland. I can always rely on her and her expertise.
I have been working with Marta for many years. She has introduced me and my groups to Lisbon, Fátima, Nazaré, Óbidos, Sintra, Cascais, Cabo da Roca, and so many other fantastic corners of Portugal. Marta is enthusiastic, empathetic, sarcastic, but also extremely competent and professional. A tour with her allows you to deeply connect with the local places and culture, following classic as well as off-the-beaten-path itineraries, and she always knows how to keep everyone engaged. Every year for nearly 15 years—and lately, multiple times a year—I discover a new piece of Lisbon and its surroundings with Marta. Thank you for everything, Marta. It is truly a privilege to have you as a guide.
Marta is an amazing guide! Her knowledge of Portugal is very deep and she is extremely flexible in helping groups to find their perfect tour. She showed our multi-generational family (11 people) a wonderful 2 days of the big cities as well as the country-side. I would strongly recommend Marta to anyone considering her services.
Marta is wonderful! Her expertise, knowledge and love of her country combined to give us an unforgettable adventure. Her language skills are impressive and her English impeccable. She us an asset to your team. Marta, muito obrigada!!
Marta is quite simply the BEST! I wish we had more time!! What she covered in a half day was more than I could cover in three days! She was kind, organized and everything was tailored to our needs! It was VIP all the way! Can't say enough good about Marta! We adore you!
Marta was fantastic from start to finish. Our family clicked with her right away, and she made the whole trip feel easy and fun. Highly recommend her if you’re looking for a guide who genuinely connects with the group. We’d book with her again in a heartbeat!
Our family had an amazing day with Marta! She is an excellent guide and being driven from location to location was a very efficient use of our time. Marta is warm, friendly, and highly knowledgeable. I was given her name by a friend, and I also recommend her to everyone I know that plans to visit Lisbon.
Marta was wonderful. She picked us up where we were with a group tour and very timely. Marta was personable and very knowledgeable. She was very accommodating and made us feel at ease. Marta also has a great sense of humor and took us where we wanted to go. I would highly recommend her to anyone traveling to Lisbon.
We loved every minute of our tour with Marta. We felt like we were truly getting an insiders view of Lisbon. She far exceeded our expectations and provided us with lots of helpful information even after our tour ended. We feel like we have a friend in Portugal now, and we look forward to sharing tours with Marta with our friends and family that are coming with us next year!
I have travelled extensively and have had many guides, but Marta is the “Best of the Best.” First of all, she is a certified local guide and has much authentic knowledge, which is not always the case with guides. Secondly, she is very personable and makes you laugh. She brings fun to the tour. Thirdly, she is prompt and efficient. Our hotel was on a hill and a taxi would not take us to the hotel. Marta knew her way and picked us up right at the door. And finally, she is an excellent driver—and when you see the hills in Portugal, you will understand why that is so important!
