Princess Island (Büyükada)Tour with Lunch and Island Shuttle Trip

First and foremost, I want to say that we had a fantastic guide. His name was Hamza; he was very funny and did a great job. I do have a few minor comments about the itinerary, though. We were picked up from our hotel well ahead of time, which meant that—along with the rest of the group—we had to wait 45 minutes for the ferry. This was because they were picking up people from another tour at the same time as us. The guide tried to fill the waiting time by sharing useful information about Istanbul with us, but it still felt a bit like wasted time. After that, we spent just under 2 hours on the ferry. The island was absolutely beautiful! And it was fun getting around in the electric minibus. Afterward, we hopped back on the ferry and were dropped off in the old city. There, we had to visit a leather, jewelry, and handbag shop. I’m not a fan at all of these mandatory shopping stops, nor of the salespeople who practically force you to buy something. If you don’t buy anything—like we didn’t—they give you unfriendly looks the whole time. So I really regret that we stopped there and that we couldn’t stay on the island any longer.

This was a very refreshing experience. I went with my mum and it was great getting away from the busy Istanbul. Our tour guide, Hamza was the sweetest. He was quite knowledgeable and very accommodating to all the guest, smiling with everyone and making sure we were okay. He definitely made the tour worthwhile.

This was a lively day from start to finish. Princess Island is beautiful. Transpiration was on time and easy. Restaurant as delicious and Hamza was an excellent tour guide.

Hamza was great, and quite funny! He gave us a brief history of Istanbul and then of Princess Island. His command of English is quite good. The getaway to the island was quite refreshing, away from the hustle and bustle of Istanbul. The cloudy weather we experienced helped too. Enjoyed the small group tour and lunch was decent. Communication was excellent prior to the trip

A great experience with a tour guide who knew his stuff. We enjoyed our day out from start to finish. My wife is a vegan and enjoyed her meal and I had the charcoal grilled chicken wings and never left any. Would recommend the tour to all ages, I am 70 and had no problems with doing the whole tour.

Hamza was very knowledgeable and did a great job helping us learn about the history of the areas we visited. It was a nice, relaxing day.

Lovely tour! Boat ride across to Island was very pleasant and relaxing. Hamza was very knowledgeable and explained a lot about Istanbul. When we had free time, he was careful to point out which ways to go and to make sure we understood how to get back to the meeting point and the time to be there. Today was actually my last day in Istanbul and this was the perfect relaxing day. Lunch was very good and the restaurant was nice and comfortable out of the sun. Definitely recoHamza and this tour!
