There is no way you can miss the imposing white marble monument dedicated to King Vittorio Emanuele II! Nicknamed the “wedding cake”, the monument is one of the most recognizable buildings in Rome and the designated place for the eternal flame of the tomb of the unknown soldier.

25 min

A stop at the Capitoline Hill will provide one of the most spectacular views of the Roman Forum, Palatine Hill, and the Coliseum in the distance. This spot is one of the most picturesque in Rome, so be sure to have your camera ready! .

Admission not included15 min

One of the oldest and best-preserved ancient monuments built in 126 AD, it’s been in continuous use throughout history and converted into the church dedicated to Saint Mary and the Martyrs in the 7th century. Some of history’s most distinguished figures are buried here: Kings Vittorio Emanuele II, Umberto I, Queen Margherita, and the celebrated artist Raphael. The oculus in the center of the coffered dome above provides light and ventilation, and when it rains the water drains below the floor through a drainage system. Admittance is € 5 per person to be paid upon entrance.

15 min

Climb the 18th-century stairs to reach the French Church of Trinità dei Monti or hang out on the steps for some people-watch as the locals do. An exquisite feature of the piazza at the foot of the stairs is the Fountain of the "Bracaccia" which, despite its name "old an ugly boat" is a beautiful fountain designed by Bernini's father.

15 min

From La Dolce Vita to Three Coins In A Fountain, the Trevi Fountain has been featured in so many films that it’s one of the most distinguished fountains in Rome! No visit to Rome is complete without a visit to the Trevi Fountain. People crowd around the gushing Baroque fountain and its nautical statues for the opportunity to throw a coin over their shoulder and wish for a return visit to Rome. After it will be time for lunch!

15 min

Visit Piazza Navona in the heart of Rome where history, art, and lively atmosphere converge in a mesmerizing display. This iconic square, nestled in the city's historic center, enchants visitors with its stunning Baroque architecture, lively cafes, and bustling market stalls. Immerse yourself in the beauty of Bernini's Fountain of the Four Rivers, marvel at the grandeur of the Sant'Agnese in Agone church, and soak in the vibrant energy of street performers and local artists. Whether you're savoring a gelato while strolling along the cobblestone streets or simply basking in the timeless charm of Piazza Navona, you'll discover why this enchanting square is a must-visit destination for anyone seeking the true essence of Rome.

Rome Chauffeur exceptional service!

Rome Chauffeur is an excellent company to deal with. From my initial email inquiry their responsiveness and professionalism was truly outstanding. The booking process was simple and straightforward. We made a late change to our reservation and it was accommodated without any additional charge. On the day we arrived the port was extremely busy. Fortunately our driver had the experience and professionalism to arrive well before our scheduled pickup time. The tour was a great introduction to Rome. Our driver went above and beyond. He couldn’t have been more accommodating. We also booked Rome Chauffeur for our trip to the airport. The driver arrived early and got us to our Terminal earlier than we expected. If you are looking for a responsive and reliable car service I would highly recommend Rome Chauffeur!

The best tour experience especially post cruise

Cesar was our driver and he was amazing. We only had one day in Rome after our cruise and we really wanted to make the most of it. With our tour guide we saw everything we wanted to see. He knew all the best ways to get everywhere and the best times to go. He gave ample time for us to explore and take pictures at all the stops. It was pretty hot while we were there and it was so nice to get around in this beautiful car with wonderful AC. My husband was initially apprehensive about the price but after the tour he said he would have happily paid double for the whole experience. Thank you Cesar and Rome Chauffeur! We can’t wait to come back to Rome thanks to you!

Post cruise tour with airport drop off

We had visited Rome for 2 days prior to our cruise. Our post cruise flight was a late one so we wanted to see some of the countryside of Rome. Leonardo was waiting for us as we exited the cruise terminal. The views were amazing and he was very knowledgeable of the area. We had amazing views of Lake Bracciano and toured a magnificent castle. We drove into the tiny town of Ceri and met local shop owners. We tasted cheeses and breads and other local products. Another shop owner was making jewelry as we watched. We bought several pieces! Our lunch in Ceri was amazing as were the views. I can not give this tour and our driver Leonardo enough good words!!

Fantastic Day in Rome - Made the City Accessible to a Disabled Guest

I cannot say how enough how wonderful our driver, Radu, made our day in Rome. My husband has significant mobility restrictions (uses a rollator walker because of cerebral palsy and a previous spinal fusion surgery). Despite our driver never having had a tour for someone like my husband before, he was able to really accommodate my husband's disability, getting us as close as possible to so many fantastic sites in Rome, and driving us past a few more so that we could catch a glimpse. During our day, we managed to visit St. Paul's Outside the Walls, the Fontana dell’Acqua Paola for a view of the city, the Trevi Fountain, the Pantheon, eat lunch in the Piazza Navona, and tour the Colosseum. He even convinced the police to let him drive us all the way to the entrance of the Colosseum and to pick us up at the exit (if handicapped, bring your handicapped placard with you for free access to museums and possibly an ability to be dropped off closer). He made sure I knew how to pre-book the tickets for the Pantheon on the official website that was new since I had last been in Rome so that we didn't have to wait in line, and even offered to use his credit card to do so when I was having trouble doing so (we ultimately didn't need that as I booked the free tickets for disabled people). In addition, we drove around Vatican city, catching a glimpse of St. Peter's Square, drove past the Castel St. Angelo, and even got us as close as possible to see the Spanish steps. It was an incredible full day tour. Cannot rave enough about how wonderful this tour was for us. Worth every penny. Would recommend to anyone with limited mobility in Rome (the van was not wheelchair accessible, but great for someone like my husband who can walk but uses a rollator or walker).

Relaxing Post Cruise Rome Countryside Tour

We enjoyed a relaxing post cruise countryside tour of Rome with a wonderful and very knowledgeable private driver, which included a fabulous lunch in the Village of Ceri before being delivered right to the front door of our hotel. We couldn't have wished for anything better!
