Vesuvius and then walk among the remarkably preserved remains of a city buried underneath 30 feet of ash during its violent eruption. A bakery, theatre, gymnasium, and public bath all stand sentinels to a time and lifestyle literally sucked breathless in a split second then entombed for a thousand years. Then it will be time to move to Positano. Shopping, photography and simply strolling the coast completes the agenda at this seaside stop. Pietro showed us a wonderful day! He picked us up on time and drove us around for a long day of touring. He was very nice & easy to talk to & a safe driver on those crazy Amalfi roads!Pietro brought us to a beautiful lunch spot in Positano & to the beach. We hadn’t bought our tickets for Pompeii because we weren’t sure what time we would arrive so he coordinated with Luca, our Pompeii guide. Luca was magnificent! Always smiling, Luca kept the tour at an appropriate level for our teens and pre-teen. We had a day we will never forget! We used the tour company for several tours in Italy. They were all great! Sarah in the office was incredibly helpful when I messed up ticket times for the Vatican too. She saved my day!
