Com mais de 100 anos de vida, a Poças está atualmente nas mãos da 4ª geração, sendo uma das raras empresas de Vinho do Porto que nasceu portuguesa e se mantém nas mesma família desde a sua fundação. Os nossos Vinhos do Porto Tawny velhos construíram a reputação da Poças, mas há já 30 anos que os vinhos DOC Douro dão também prova da sua qualidade. Em 2019 a Poças recebeu o prémio de "Produtor de Vinhos Fortificados do Ano 2018" Atribuído pela Revista de Vinhos. Recebendo cerca de 28 000 visitantes por ano, em 2018 o Centro de Visitas foi distinguido com o certificado de Excelência do TripAdvisor. Itinerary
This experience includes a guided visit throughout our cellar with a tasting at the end of the tour. This tasting will include a selection of Port Wine and DOC Douro Table Wine. We will start with our DOC Douro Wines, first our Poças Reserve White Wine followed by our Poças Reserve Red Wine. Then we will serve the Port Wines initially with a 10 Years-Old Tawny and then with our LBV. We have also available different harmonizations that you can select to make the perfect pairing with your wine.

We took this tour because we were unsure of whether we would enjoy port and didn't want to commit to a multi-winery tasting. The tour of the cellar or "lodge" as it is called locally was excellent...included a great overview of how port wine is made and the different variations, as well as why port is so unique to the area in Portugal. The explanations of what we were tasting was also well done, tying back to what was discussed in the tour.

This was a brilliant experience. A family run business but so professional. We had Cindy as our tour guide and she was amazing. So informative about everything from the beginning to the end of the Port/wine making process. Got to taste 2 wines/2 Ports and loved every minute. Such a reasonable experience and would recommend to anyone wanting a shorter experience rather than a 5 hour vineyard tour.

Tour available in several languages, which was really good. Our mother tongue being French, we took the tour in this language and our guide was great: passionate, dynamic and friendly. there was the choice of 2 white wines, 1 red, 2 white port and 1 red port. Very nice selection of wines by the glass if you want to extend the experience. I highly recommend

Absolutely recommended. Guide in Italian, very interesting tasting. Too bad not to be able to board bottles but beyond expectations. Untouristy area and a bit 'difficult to reach but absolutely worth it

Visit of excellent level both in customer attention and in the details exposed by the guide. The latter was in English for reasons of time, but is also present in Italian (I recommend it because unfortunately some information is difficult to pick up if you do not chew English well). Really interesting wine tasting with an unexpected gift (which unfortunately I forgot on the table 😭). By the way, it is the only winery still 100% Portuguese and in an area that is anything but touristy, it is definitely worth a chance.

Nice information and tour. A real family business! The table wine that is poured is not special and not very tasty. The port against that was great, I would not choose a tasting with table wine.

kids don't get much out of it - fun with lots of wines and ports to taste - the portions were very generous
