Itinerary
After meeting with your tour guide, leave from Porto, and travel to the beautiful Douro Valley in a comfortable climatized vehicle.
After the first stretch of the journey and having arrived to the Douro Valley, we will be visiting a small family owned vineyard, with a wine tasting of their own production. Here we will have a commented wine tasting we will also enjoy some wonderfull views of the terraced hills that make the Douro Valley so unique.
After the first winery, enjoy a scenic drive through the world famous National Road 222, to the heart of the Douro Valley, the beautifull village of Pinhão.
In Pinhão we will embark on the unique experience of doing a short 1 hour river cruise, to soak in the beautiful landscape while admiring the terraced hills with the quintessential vineyards and estates that turn the margins of the Douro River into a true "Geologic Poem"
After the scenic cruise it´s time to drive up the hills, through the windy Douro roads and get on our way to Sabrosa, for lunch. It´s time to discover more of what the Douro Valley has to offer and to enjoy the breathtaking views from up the mountains.
In Sabrosa we will stop at another family owned winery, where we will have a traditional portuguese lunch complete with 4 courses, entrance, salad, main dish and dessert, all paired with their delicious Douro red and white wine. For the grande finale we will visit their cellar where we will try some of their fantastic ports. After a full day of exploration and discovery, relax and enjoy your journey back to Porto.

Pick-ups at the predetermined locations are only for customers that bought that option ("Group Tour - Up to 8 people" or "Private Tour").

- This tour may be done in two languages. We try to avoid it, but sometimes we have no other solution.
- Private option it's done in a private vehicle only with your private guide. The vineyards and rest of the locations are shared with other participants.
- For lunch we provide meat, fish, vegan and vegetarian option.
- Reschedulings with less than 24 hours before the start of the tour will be charged a 30% fee (subject to availability);
- We do not recommend that you book or schedule different activities at the end of the tour. Although the tour may last 9/10 hours, the duration may vary depending on traffic conditions and other factors.
- Please be aware that the activities which we visit, such as vineyards, restaurants, etc, are subject to 3rd party availability and other groups/participants may be with the your group during the experience.
- Schedules and Itinerary may change without prior notice.
- The pick-up service is only available for the ones that choose the option "Small Group Tour - Up to 8 people" and "Private Tour".
- Please make sure that you have breakfast. Keep in mind that we probably will only stop at the first activity. We may not have time to make a pit stop before arriving to the first vineyard.
- On the private option infants or childrens must be booked as an individual adult/place. Prices shown are per group/vehicle.

Enjoyed the trip, great tasting sessions and good food. Guide and driver, Vitor & Sheila, looked after us really well and kept us well informed.
It’s a gorgeous area and a beautiful but short (1 hr) boat ride. The two port tastings were informative and excellent. The lunch was very good as well! There were a few problems, however. The tour guides mic wasn’t working which made it very hard to hear, which was unfortunate because the guide seemed very knowledgeable. Additionally, we were never told we would have to hike up a rocky hill. People should know this in advance so they can decide if they are able to physically handle it, especially in the high heat. Also so they can wear the appropriate footwear. I would recommend the trip but not to people with physical challenges.
Our driver guide was top notch and we enjoyed his company The stops chosen were very good also it is a great value for the average person I recommend it
This day tour was a highlight for the 5 of us. Our guide, Rita, was an incredibly warm, knowledgeable and funny guide. She gave us great information about the Douro Valley, including its history. The wineries and lunch were fantastic. It was an 11/10 day !

Teigo was so funny so welcoming and very knowledgeable, the schedule was absolutely great and he created a really nice atmosphere on the coach and throughout the whole trip The vineyard was a beautiful location and food was so nice, the boat trip was very scenic but was joined by another group and cash was needed to purchase drinks - just note to take some snacks! Such a great day and lovely experience
