Great Family Day. The show was excellent, very entertaining. Each performer was professional, making each guest feel like they were part of the show. And I took the win in the axe throwing for the McGraw family.
The bbq was full of grease and fat. The corn had an off flavor. The green beans were bland. I mean no seasonings at all. NONE!!! The Mac n cheese came out of a box mix. The cole slaw looked so nasty I didn’t even try it. The bbq sauce is some sickeningly sweet cheap crap. I couldn’t force down more that’s couple of bites of the greasy, fatty bbq. I mean damn, at least pick out the big chunks of fat and gristle. I almost puked it up on the table. The frozen Sister Schubert knockoff rolls were even nasty. How do you screw up frozen rolls? And to top it all of it was ice damn cold. Y’all gonna give someone food poisoning serving that cold garbage. Paul Dean you should be ashamed to have your name attached to this food. But I guess people will do anything for money. The show was decently entertaining. But not enough to justify the garbage food Paula Dean is serving. We paid $130 for two people to see a $30 show. That’s $15 each for $30 total. The show wasn’t worth $30 each. It was kinda cheesy. But still entertaining. The blatant hocking of wares by the host and the lumberjacks was a little embarrassing. Pay the entertainers enough to make a living without having to push their self written books and cheap wooden carved souvenir crap. The food adds no value whatsoever ever. NONE. In fact, it could end up costing you money when you get food poisoning from the cold buffet food.
Total WASTE of money! Don't do it... you've been warned. Most repulsive experience ever... the food was inedible!
Lots of food on the buffet, the BBQ was delicious! The lumberjacks included the kids in the audience so everyone had a good time
Show was very entertaining, there was a very limited selection of food to pick from.
Overall, we had a good experience and enjoyed the show. The performers kept the audience engaged, and it was fun watching the reactions of people of all ages around us. My only disappointment was the dinner timing. Our tickets listed the show start time as 5:00 PM, so that’s when we arrived. Unfortunately, the entire dinner service had already ended and the audience was seated. While the fine print does mention arriving 60–75 minutes early, I think it would be much clearer if the advertised start time reflected when dinner actually begins. If dinner starts at 4:00 PM, list the event as 4:00 PM rather than 5:00 PM. That said, the staff was incredibly kind and accommodating. They provided take-home containers for our meals, which we greatly appreciated. The customer service helped turn a frustrating situation into a much better experience. One pleasant surprise was the food. Based on some of the reviews we had read beforehand, our expectations were fairly low. However, the food was much better than expected, and everyone in our group enjoyed it—especially the pulled pork. Portions were generous, and you definitely won’t leave hungry. One thing that appealed to us when choosing this show is that it felt very “on brand” for the area. Aside from the famous Stampede, this was one of the few dinner shows that seemed to fit the Smoky Mountain experience. After spending the week in bear country, Tennessee, a lumberjack show just felt like a natural choice for our family. The show itself was entertaining and family-friendly. My suggestion would simply be to make the dinner start time more obvious so future guests don’t miss part of the experience like we did.
Wonderful experience. Food was great and show was very entertaining.
Buffet food pulled pork was good, green beans excellent, corn ok, bread good, mac n cheese good and plenty of drink options. There are desserts didn't try any. The show is a fun quick paced competition. Very kid friendly as the hand out wood chips signed by show performers as scoring. The different events show off skills. worth while for a unquie show plus food. I think a must do for cost. Some funny moments thrown in and just great fun.
the show was good - very entertaining - but food lacked lots - I don't eat pork and was told there were options but when I told one of the staff they said this is what you get. The dessert was great lemon cake.
It wasn't clearly stated that the dinner is separate from the show, but reading reviews and fine print we knew we needed to arrive early to eat before the show. Everyone enjoyed the food, there was plenty to eat. It was a great show, everyone was very talented and there were opportunities to interact. We had a group of 14 and were easily accommodated. We'd recommend going.
