The tour to Ostia Antica, was a chill day trip out of Rome. If you want to get away from the crowds, would highly recommend. Our tour guide Rebecca, was enthusiastic engaging and very knowledgeable about the whole site. 10/10.
Everything about our tour of Ostia Antica was terrific!! It is such an interesting place. Our guide Rebecca was really knowledgeable, as well as personable and attentive. She contacted us by WhatsApp the day before the tour, which we particularly appreciated after having been “burned” by a no-show tour guide (from a different company) just the day before. We learned so much, and Rebecca kept the information interesting. This tour was really worthwhile, and a great way to get out of the city for a change of pace. Don’t hesitate to book this one!

A wonderful historic site that offers maximum visitor access. The ruins of Ostia Antica easily rival Pompeii. The site is not heavily advertised so the crowds are small. They allow you to fully access most of the site so you really get the feeling for what it was like to live and work there. Our guide Ali was exceptional. Her knowledge really enhanced the experience
Joan was an excellent guide, who took the time to explain sites before we boarded the train for Ostia and on the way as well. He is very knowledgeable on the Ostia site and took his time while walking us through the ruins. This tour is excellent and we recommend it highly.
The sheer size of the site was unbelievable. An expert guide is a must to help you contextualize what you are seeing and Rebecca was amazing! She showed us her favorite parts and gave us enough information that we could wander the site after the tour and have a better understanding what we were looking at. Definitely visit the museum afterward to see some of the original pieces. It was super easy to get to the site and back to Rome. You’ll also want to wear good walking shoes since there is so much to see! Less crowded than Pompeii and much closer to Rome but equally as important to see!
