It's all done very lovingly, and well organized, the three musicians also do it very nicely, well world stars don't, but above all the guitarist is really very good and this soprano is extremely adorable. The selection of music from the time around Monteverdi is appealing. The tour of the family's supposed secret private rooms is, of course, quite surprising. The rooms are very poorly furnished, as if someone had been there for the last time in World War II and there was a lack of money for furniture and everything. In addition, the rooms are downright shabby, there is a bit of garbage on the cabinets here and there, the furniture is rather petty-bourgeois peasant. The paintings on the walls are rather black hams of unknown painters. So that's not very credible, that anyone from the noble family ever lived there, or at least not in the last 70 years... But well, adorable overall.

We also appreciate the opportunity to talk about the secret apartment, a unique space in Rome as it preserves original furnishings from the period and very precious works of art, including Greco-Roman sculptures, frescoes, the spectacular Diana Bath, featuring the first heated bathtub in a private residence, the seventeenth-century telescope similar to the one used by Galileo, and an original nineteenth-century autopiano. We also remember dozens of paintings by leading artists of the 1600s, such as Bassano and Lodovico Lana, which the family can keep in their home instead of displaying in the famous Galleria Doria Pamphilj, located on the upper floor of their palace, alongside masterpieces by Caravaggio, Raphael, Velázquez, Titian, Bernini, and many others. Perhaps the most valuable aspect is the chance to listen to a concert of rare music played on period instruments, in an environment still inhabited by a noble family that has contributed to making Rome one of the cities richest in culture, art, architecture, and music. Rome is crowded and a little overwhelming. A wonder sanctuary was this hour long concert in this intimate setting. With only 20 people in attendance, it was an extraordinary private performance. Intermixed with Paola's beautiful soprano voice were beautiful instrumental flute and string performances. It was truly a treat!

My brother and I came to Rome for 4 days and packed so much activities of seeing the usual attractions. We wanted to do something a little different so when I came across this, I booked without hesitation because we are both music lovers and I myself am a professional pianist. From the initial assistance with booking right through to the end, Paola was wonderful. Not only is she a hugely talented soprano but she’s just so warm, friendly and welcoming to her audience that it really made the evening so much more endearing. A special mention must be made to Lorenzo the Baroque guitarist, who not only gave a fantastic and interesting tour of the secret palace chambers but his rendition of Johann Hieronymus Kapsberger’s ‘Arpeggiata’ was both haunting and mesmerising. Together with Stefano on recorder and percussion, the trio performed the programme brilliantly and showed so much passion and true enjoyment for their work. I highly recommend this to anyone looking for an evening of musical joy and getting away from the hustle and bustle of the main tourist attractions.

This was our third time attending a concert organised by Roma Opera Omnia, and it was as spectacular as ever. Every time we are in Rome we look to see what they are doing and they never disappoint! This concert in particularly was the perfect opportunity to experience the intimate world of baroque performance, with a stellar cast of musicians. Paola is a sweetheart and you really get the impression that the whole team loves what they do and are so passionate. Highly recommended!

I felt like a parched flower after hours of walking to experience the countless, beautiful, and historical sites in the grand city of Rome. And then, it was as if a restorative mist was falling on me when I was ushered to a lovely rooftop courtyard atop Palazzo Palmphilj, where the promise of “aperitif and opera” awaited. Oh! What artistry and joy! A duo of an accomplished soprano and tenor, accompanied by a wonderful pianist, interpreted famous Puccini and Verdi arias with skill and passion. The soprano Paola’s coloratura shone during Vissi d’arte, and Tosca came to life. The drink and salumi e fromaggio included in the very reasonable cost of the evening were a bonus to the music, songs, and stunning views, which included Piazza Navona and the setting of Tosca’s Act I— the church Sant’Andrea Della Valle. The audience was able to interact with the artists and they were so kind and gracious! A great evening!

This was an outstanding and special Roman experience So special to visit the intimate Apartments of the Pamphili family in the Palazzo Doria Pamphili and then to be so beautifully entertained in those apartments. We were treated to a beautiful selection of opera songs and baroque music on original instruments by an extremely talented trio. The warmth and authenticity of the music was amazing. So special to get this quality of entertainment in an intimate setting with a small and select audience. Highly recommended.
