As you explore the French Quarter you will learn about the horrifying tales of slaves at the LaLaurie House and learn about various other ghostly and ghastly characters of New Orleans's sordid past.

Loved it. Fun night the stories were great. The guide knew a lot of history of the area. The group size was also nice. Not too big we could easily move around.

This was absolutely not an anecdotal tour with stories of hauntings, witches, or voodoo in New Orleans. I once took a tour years ago where that is what happened. It was creepy and scary. We had our 13-year-old grandson with us and that’s the experience Iwanted to give him. The Tour Guide more or less gave a historical account of famous people and their affiliation to Voodoo, pirates. history of streets and buildings. I did not come for a history tour. She was knowledgeable and talked a lot, but that was not the expectation.
I have already replied to your review on another site, but since you find it necessary to post another one, I will respond in more detail. We do not advertise that we are a jump scare tour. We do advertise that we combine history and the documented hauntings. What sets you apart as a guest is that you were already complaining waiting for the tour to start. Before it began. Then you left at the 3rd stop which was about 35 minutes into the tour. You don't therefore even know the rest of the tour. Your guide is one of the top rated guides in New Orleans across all companies. That speaks volumes as does your review of a tour you didn't finish and complained about before it began.
10 years ago I did a tour with a different company and it was enjoyable. I learned a lot of history, saw a lot of New Orleans and heard some amazing stories. I was hoping for something similar with this tour. Not the case. We stopped and stood at 5 locations while our tour guide rambled on and on. I felt as though I learned very little about New Orleans, the history, or anything else. It was not worth our time or money.
We are truly sorry to hear that the tour did not live up to your expectations. We understand how disappointing it can be when you are hoping for a different style of experience. Our tours are designed to focus on the stories, history, and legends connected to specific locations throughout the French Quarter. While many guests enjoy the more in depth storytelling approach, we understand that others prefer a faster paced tour with more stops and broader coverage of the city.
Felt the rating was overrated . I liked the stories and the guide but felt we did miss some key paranormal spots like the cornstalk hotel as an example and more . Would have loved to learn more and cover more .
We are glad to hear you enjoyed the stories and your guide, but we are sorry the tour did not fully meet your expectations. Our route is carefully designed to balance the city's most significant paranormal stories with the time available, and there are many fascinating haunted locations in the French Quarter that simply cannot all fit into a single tour. With that said, we don't visit the Cornstalk since that was debunked years ago. We don't want to waste people time with stories that have been perpetuated with untruths over and over. We do appreciate your suggestion. Every guide and every tour is unique and every night in the Quarter can change things up.
Kamile was our guide and she was awesome. Very knowledgeable and great sense of humor. There were kids in our group and she was very mindful of that as well.
