Such a fun class! You won’t be disappointed. Harriet made the time fly with her wit and cooking wisdom!
Great experience- good demonstration. Had gumbo, jambalaya, and pralines. There was enough food that you could have as much as you wanted. The chef was fun and entertaining.
This was a great experience! Our Chef was knowledgeable and entertaining. And the food was delicious!
This particular session was NOT hands-on but they do offer it. I enjoyed the stories she told about the history of how certain foods were introduced into Louisiana culture from different cultures. And boy-oh-boy was the finished product DELICIOUS!!!
This demo was suggested by our carriage driver. Chef Eric was great! Entertaining, funny and one hell of a cook. He cooked gumbo, jambalaya, bread pudding & pralines, all delicious!! As he cooked, he entertained with stories of local food history, offering his expert advice along the way. Everyone received copies of the recipes. Can’t wait to get home and try them. Highly recommend New Orleans School of Cooking Demo Class!!
Come hungry. Lots of food when they finish the demonstration. Had enough for seconds for a few people. Lots of great information and helpful hints were provided and demonstrated. The chef was very informative and entertaining.
Great combo of cooking tips and local history. Food is great!
A definite must. Gave you history of food that had you understanding the flavors of local foods. Seeing the chef cook the meal made it less intimidating to try back at home. Will definitely go back for other demos of other foods
Chef Eric was fantastic at making everyone feel welcome and did an awesome job preparing our meal. He made everyone feel comfortable and confident at trying to make the recipes at home. The food was delicious!
This was an amazing experience. I definitely would recommend and I am planning on going to another one.
