It is best to do this...

It is best to do this with a guided tour like Massimo. He was able to direct us to one of the best spots to see Pope Leo. His advice was immeasurable. We also got hop on and hop off for the next day.

A must if you’re in Rome

It was fantastic and our guide was superb. We got to our meeting point an hour early and enjoyed the people coming, the set up of souvenirs and even the street cleaners. It was a pleasure being a part of the service and seeing the Pope.

Disappointed! Use a different company!

This tour company is very poorly organized and operated. The station that you meet at is really just a restaurant. There was no one to meet us until after we contacted th e company. Our date was a meet with the the new pope. Security was in place. No coach tour was available. Another employee rushed us over to our guide who simply introduced himself, stood inline with the guests, handed us our tickets to the venue, then disappeared. We contacted the company and were told this was normal. This is not the way other tour companies operate. Everyone stays together and are guided through the venue. We are extremely disappointed in their service. Thankfully, the papal Wed. Mass was extremely full and wonderful.

Operator response

Kind customers The tour is clearly explained online. The guide meets the group at the clearly marked meeting point, hands out invitations, and accompanies the group to the papal audience. The hop-on hop-off bus is included, and guests can use it freely. kind regards Pina Mameli GLT

Terrible experience!

The guide did not show up at the event and kept me waiting for hours at the place that I was instructed to go and meet. I had to walk a lot to get there, and then a no-show. This is not what is expected when you pay for an event that is free!

Operator response

Kind customer we are sorry for your experience, but our operator sent you all the details about time, meeting point (Google Maps) and emergency number...days before your tour, they also tried to contact you via WhatsApp, but we did not receive an answer. Important: The Event, as already written several times, is Free, but it is by invitation only, and there is a guide with you. Kind regards Pina Sales resp. GLT

Good Shepherding Inside the Vatican

Massimo and another woman were the ones who met us in front of Caffe San Pietro. Their task was really to just gather us outside, get us in line and through the security, and gesture to the row of seats where we could sit. Besides entry to the Vatican, they provided a free ticket for a one-day hop-on-the-bus tour with their company, as well as a discount coupon at a local souvenir shop where there was a bathroom. Other than this, we were on our own after the papal audience.
