Great experience at the Masseria. The hosts were friendly and loved experiencing the local grown food - especially the wine!
A perfect event to get to know the Italian and especially the local cuisine of Apulia. The hospitality was warm, and the food served to us after the workshop was excellent. Highly recommended!
Great experience! Our Nonna took us through the steps of how to make pasta dough and then we made orecchiette pasta. She then taught us how to make the Succo (sauce). Next, we all sat down to locally made focaccia bread, burrata and meat. Then second course of our handmade orecchiette pasta and wine. Followed by delicious almond dessert and coffee. It was delicious and such a fun, education experience!
One of the highlights of our trip! Such a great experience. Great location, right outside Ostuni. We had the best time ever!
Incredible experience! A highlight of our trip! From the moment we arrived we felt like family - Francesco greeted us with such warm hospitality. We learned so much about making pasta and sugo, and also about all the ingredients local to the area. The meal was absolutely delicious and there was plenty to go around!
Beyond our expectations . Great fun and hosted well
We recently enjoyed a lunch and orecchiette-making class at the masseria, and it was a wonderful experience from start to finish. It was engaging and enjoyable for the entire family, including our teenage son, which can sometimes be a challenge when traveling. Learning the traditional techniques for making fresh orecchiette was both fun and memorable, and we’re looking forward to trying it again when we return home to the United States. Francesco and his family were incredibly warm, welcoming, and friendly hosts. They made everyone feel at home and shared their passion for local food and traditions in a way that was both authentic and approachable. The other guests attending the class were also delightful, creating a relaxed and enjoyable atmosphere that made the experience even more special. If you’re looking for an authentic Puglian experience that combines great food, hands-on learning, and genuine hospitality, I highly recommend it.
Great fun. I can now make my own pasta. Plus, met one or two I'll definitely remember
Loved it ! highly recommended the place is gorgeous. Old state with magnificent olive trees. The hosts and chef were great.
The actual pasta making part is very brief. You make the dough and make your orechiette. Besides that there’s nothing else hands-on. They do give a lot of information on how to make it yourself and they demonstrate how to make the sauce. It’s a little on the pricey side but you do get a whole meal for lunch and the food was delicious. The whole thing took about three hours.
