Morning Time - You will be greeted by your Professional English Speaking Driver who will pick you up from your local Roman accommodation in a luxury Mercedes Benz Vehicle and chauffeur you to Lucca, located in northwest of Florence! During the drive to Lucca your Private Knowledgeable English Speaking Driver will be able to answer any questions you may have as you are relaxed and comfortable in your luxury Mercedes Benz vehicle. When arriving to Lucca, the first thing that will amaze you are the walls surrounding the city, once used as military protection, now it’s one of the main attractions where a walk can be taken. From the very beginning you will feel connected with the charm of this lovely town!
Proceed then with the visit of The Cathedral, located in San Martino square with a Gothic and Romanesque style. Inside you will admire artistic religious masterpieces, being one of the most important the Holy Face, a very venerated wooden relic.
Admire then the Guinigi Tower, a perfect example of an ancient skyscraper. Not only the view from the top is breathtaking but you if you want you will also witness a small garden at its summit!
Next stop is Piazza Anfiteatro, named after a Roman Amphitheater originally located in the same area. This square it’s actually an elliptical shaped piazza with only 4 doorways!
Your last stop in Lucca will be the Piazza San Michele, which name comes from the stunning Church of San Michele in Foro! On the top of it stands a marble statue of archangel Michele defeating a dragon, a legend says it glams on the brightest days! Overall the whole square will transport you to the Middle ages, since it is all surrounded by medieval buildings that will for sure astonish you.
And of course the best way to finish such an exquisite morning will be enjoying a delicious meal at a local Tuscan Trattoria where you will flavor many Tuscan delicacies and delicious regional wine. Meals are not incl in the price. We can reserve a table for you in a local Restaurant – to be required in advance.
After finish enjoying lunch, we will continue the tour and your private driver will chauffer you to Pisa in your luxury Mercedes Benz vehicle! Begin your visit in Pisa! You will be amazed with Piazza dei Miracoli (Square of Miracles), an Unesco World Heritage Site! Here you will find 4 beautiful structures with a very deep meaning related to the main stages of life: The Baptistery (birth), The Cathedral of Santa Maria or Duomo di Pisa (life), the Campo Santo (death) and of course the iconic Pisa Tower, considered as the bell of the Cathedral. All of them are perfect examples of the impressive medieval architecture. We thoroughly enjoyed the leaning tower of Pisa along with lunch and a stroll through the old town of Lucca. Sal was amazing, he informed us of things along the way, spoke excellent English and we enjoyed the comfortable, pleasant drive. A wonderful day out and well worth the long drive from Rome.

We cannot say enough good stuff about this tour group and tour drivers. We used them for our 3 port stops in Italy and all were equally as good. Our first stop was La Spezia, however we confused the port with Liverno and realized it less than 24 hrs from the arrival time. The tour group was amazing and for a small fee they rectified the situation. Our driver was Stefano an he was phenomenal. He was very knowledgeable about the area. Our tour guide in Lucca, Corinne, was also fantastic. She made reservation for us at a fantastic Italian restaurant on the edge of town, which turned out to be the best food we had in Italy. I highly recommend this tour group and would definitely use them again.

What made the tour so incredible was our driver, Salvatore! He was friendly and welcoming, very knowledgeable, customized our day to suit our needs, and we learned so much about just everyday life as an Italian. And surprise, surprise... it's much like our own in America! He is a true gem and made our day wonderful! Not to mention he's a fantastic driver. As Americans, the aggressive style of driving can be a little nerve wracking, but Salvatore was perfection behind the wheel. The private bus itself was comfortable to cool (very nice in the heat of June) and also had wifi. Water was provided upon pickup. On the way back, I was able to link my phone to the radio, per Salvatore suggestion. Really cool to find a band on my playlist is from Rome too (Måneskin for those wondering)! Salvatore dropped us off at safe places. We were able to wander around for however long and when ready, we shot him a text. Within minutes he was there, picking us up. Lucca was a charming city. Upon Salvatore's suggestion, we ate there and so glad we did. The food around Pisa was lackluster. Lucca had plenty of shopping and small quiet streets to explore. Pisa was very busy, but rightfully so. It was a lot of fun posing with the tower and people watching others getting creative. Would 100% recommend this tour! Just be prepared for the long car ride. No big deal for us, we filled it with wonderful conversation.

Salvatore is a great guide, he filled us with information and was very kind all the way, my son felt sick to his stomach and he checked his personal medicine cabinet to give him something to help him because he was dizzy and he already felt very well, he gave us good time in the places to visit and recommendations of what to do where to eat etc. A great experience. He made a wonderfull day for us. Excellent driver.
This was a wonderful day tour! Our fantastic driver, Giuliano, picked us up on time from our hotel in Rome. His car was comfortable, and he was so friendly and kind. We drove from Rome to Pisa, and enjoyed viewing the countryside. At Pisa, we had a great time visiting the Leaning Tower of Pisa (and taking pictures!), along with the other landmarks nearby. We also did a little shopping at the marketplace in Pisa. After about an hour at Pisa, we then took a quick drive to Lucca. Giuliano had made us a lunch reservation at a lovely Tuscan restaurant. After a delicious lunch, we explored this beautiful town. The day trip was a highlight for us!
Our driver Giuliano was the best. Very informative and even reserved lunch for us in Lucca. We were on our own to explore the sites but he was there when we needed him. Long trip from Rome but very worth it. Pisa is breathtaking and Lucca is very quaint and beautiful. Highly recommend this tour and Giuliano.
