In Order for this Tour to be comfortable, enjoyable and relaxing for you we opted to travel to Porto by car or van having 4 stops in our way from Lisbon to Porto: 09:00 am - Departure from the city of Lisbon towards the village of Óbidos. 10:00 am - Stop at Óbidos for a visit. 11:00 am - Departure from Óbidos towards the city of Fátima. 12:30 pm - Stop in the city of Fátima for lunch and religious visit. 03:00 pm - Departure from the city of Fátima towards the city of Aveiro. 04:00 pm - Stop in the city of Aveiro for a visit. 05:00 pm - Departure from the city of Aveiro towards the city of Porto. 06:00 pm - Arrival in the city of Porto, ending our services at your hotel.

Pick up in hotel and travel to Óbidos.
Stop: Free time Óbidos is a charming medieval town in central Portugal, known for its well-preserved castle walls, cobbled streets, and whitewashed houses adorned with colorful flowers. Once a wedding gift to Queen Urraca in 1210, it became known as the “Town of Queens” and remained part of the royal dowry for centuries. Visitors can stroll through its narrow alleys, explore the historic castle-turned-inn, and enjoy local specialties like the famous Ginjinha de Óbidos—a cherry liqueur often served in a chocolate cup. The town also hosts popular events such as the International Chocolate Festival and the Óbidos Literary Festival, earning it a reputation as a cultural gem.
Travel to Nazaré.
Stop: Free time. Nazaré is a picturesque coastal town in central Portugal, world-renowned for its record-breaking waves and deep-rooted fishing traditions. Perched along the Atlantic, it’s divided into three main areas: the beachside town (Praia), the clifftop village (Sítio), and the inland neighborhood (Pederneira). The town gained international fame thanks to the giant waves at Praia do Norte, where surfers from around the globe—like Garrett McNamara—have ridden waves over 30 meters high. But beyond the surf, Nazaré offers a rich cultural experience: traditional fishing boats, women in seven-layered skirts, and the Sanctuary of Our Lady of Nazaré, a pilgrimage site with centuries of devotion. It’s a place where natural spectacle meets cultural heritage, making it a must-see for both thrill-seekers and history lovers.
Travel to Aveiro.
Stop: Free time. Aveiro is often called the “Venice of Portugal” thanks to its picturesque canals and colorful moliceiro boats that glide through the city. Located along the Atlantic coast, it’s a vibrant town known for its Art Nouveau architecture, salt pans, and sweet treat ovos moles—a local delicacy made from egg yolks and sugar. Historically, Aveiro developed around its lagoon, the Ria de Aveiro, which has long supported fishing and salt production. Today, it’s also a university city with a youthful energy and a growing reputation for innovation and sustainability. We booked a tour with 3 stops between Lisbon and Porto. Our tour guide Joao Jesus was excellent - very knowledgeable and patient. He made great recommendations for areas to visit as well as local restaurants and areas to shop. Would definitely recommend
This was a fantastic tour to get a great view of Portugal outside of the big cities. Very happy Our next stop was Portoafter visiting Lisbon. Very happy we chose the drive vs. the train. Three stops was perfect. Nazare was definitely the favorite. Great lunch stop with amazing seafood. Huge thank you to our guide Tiago!!! He is such a wonderful human being! 💪🏽

We used the services of Meridian4People transport company for a trip from Lisbon to Porto and specifically requested for the guide driver Josẽ . We were a family of 3 adults with luggage. Josẽ was an excellent driver - polite , helpful and informative . The vehicle used , a Mercedes van was safe and comfortable for the 4 hour journey. We chose to stop at the sacred Fatima church and later at Mealhada for their well known suckling pig sandwiches, enroute . Josẽ was always helpful and with us every step of the way. He even negotiated a delicious meal deal for us at the Mealhada lunch stop ! Meridian4People and in particular the driver/guide Josẽ , is an excellent transport tour company in Portugal, especially for long distance travel and we would highly recommend them.

I had a wonderful experience with my tour from Lisbon to Porto. We were able to experience multiple stops as a way to get from Lisbon to Porto. Our tour guide, Tiago was so knowledgeable. He told great stories as we traveled. I learned so much about each stop of our tour from Tiago. It was safe, extremely comfortable, and efficient. We saw absolutely beautiful sites at our tour stops. We had time to explore and eat. I highly recommend if trying to find a unique way to see multiple cities as you get from one destination to another. Absolutely unforgettable experience!

Jose was amazing! He picked us up from Lisbon to take us to Porto. My mom had purchased and accidentally broken a piece of pottery the day before in Alfama, the highest neighborhood in Lisbon. She asked if Jose would take us there before we started our drive so she could buy a new piece. He was very kind and accommodating. His English is excellent, and we enjoyed talking to him! We chose two stops during the day, and he gave us excellent directions about what we should see and how to find him when we were finished. Even though the tour was technically booked for a set number of hours, he was very flexible with time and urged us not to hurry. At each of our two stops, he walked with us into a shop and got us samples of traditional Portuguese snacks, which we greatly enjoyed. Jose said he isn't a history expert, but he sure knew and was willing to share a lot! We plan to recommend Jose to other traveler friends of ours, and if we return to Portugal, we'll be calling him.
